  1. Agreed. At the time, I thought it was a ridiculous decision to give him a new contract for this season but have to admit he has really done well the last few games. Hope will offer him a new deal again, perhaps for longer term as would be a very useful squad player to have, if not more than that... he has done way more than Lafferty recently as would be on a fraction of the wage.
  2. Haha...the lipstick on Samaras is a classic, tranny bastard!!
  3. The "Ng family" you mention are the two sons of Ng Teng Fong, Robert & Philip who continue to manage his property empire in Singapore and Hong Kong. http://www.presidiopenthouse.com/realestatefundmanager/fareast.html Unfortunately mate, our Mr. Bill Ng is not part of that family.. is a common surname in Singapore
  4. I don't believe your analogy is applicable here... I did not totally discount that fact that he could be a Rangers fan, just merely implied that without the natural geographic and social draw you or I have or with exposure minimal media or TV coverage it remains extremely improbable someone from South-East Asia would choose Rangers as their team to support - particularly when in competition with the likes of Man U / Barcelona / or Real Madrid etc. However upon seeing those Hougang United scarves with No Surrender on them, I may just be ready to eat my words !!
  5. They will not be buying us...their bid has already been discounted. Have you been asleep the last 36 hours?
  6. "Mr Ng - A Rangers fan himself for more than a decade" - find that part a little hard to believe, I lived in Asia for 6 years and never once met a local who supported us. Virtually everyone has heard of us... but almost every fucker I ever met supports either Man U or Liverpool. Still I believe, this would be an interesting offer... at least it would not be more of the same "Rangers men" who have driven the club into the mire.
  7. Good... cant say I'm disappointed by that. They basically admitted if their group bid and won their strategy would be to liquidate us.
  8. Whyte should get to walk away with a slap on the chops and thats about it...
  9. http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_sports/view/1086499/1/.html Wonder if the mystery backer is this Peter Lim guy who tried to buy Liverpool a couple years ago... was going to put in 300m from his own pocket according to this article... We can only dream....
  10. Bartley.... well, here was me thinking he had been sent back to Arsenal. Is there really any point in continuing to pay his wages until the end of the season? Would much rather we play Perry anyway, we need to get him up to speed.. who knows, he may be essential next season
  11. Absolutely smashed the nail on the head.. well done that man Bathgate. No doubt his reward for telling it how it is will to be hounded by the taig propaganda machine somewhere down the line..
  12. Pretty sure McCulloch's contract runs until 2013
  13. http://www.<No links to this website>/2012/03/11/rangers-in-crisis-sir-david-murray-says-selling-club-to-craig-whyte-was-his-only-mistake-at-ibrox-86908-23783428/ FORMER Rangers owner Sir David Murray yesterday described his decision to sell the club to Craig Whyte as his “one mistake”. He said he had been duped into doing a deal with disgraced Whyte and claimed he had no idea that the businessman had previously been banned from being a director of a company. But critics have said Murray should have been aware of Whyte’s murky past before selling him the club for £1. Since Rangers crashed into administration, many fans have blamed Murray for their club’s plight – and not just for handing control to Whyte last May. The steel tycoon once famously promised to spend a tenner for every £5 spent by Celtic, but now his financial management of the club during his time in charge is in the spotlight. Murray said yesterday: “Everyone forgets the good times. “But the one mistake I made is I sold Rangers to somebody who was, unfortunately, untrustworthy. “There’s no system, it’s self-policing. If someone is struck off as a director, it’s their duty to tell you. So if he doesn’t tell us and he doesn’t even tell the SFA or the bank, then we’re not magicians. We’re not mind-readers.” Whyte was disqualified from running a company for seven years in 2000. After paying £1 to take control at Ibrox, he wiped out an £18million debt owed to Lloyds Banking Group – but later admitted finding the money by selling four years’ future season ticket sales to London firm Ticketus for £24.4million. craig whyte monaco Image 1 The SPL champions were forced to call in administrators last month when it emerged that HMRC were owed more than £9million in unpaid tax since Whyte took over. Last week, administrators Duff and Phelps said Whyte didn’t put a penny of his own cash into Ibrox. Murray has said privately that he had no idea that Whyte used the Ticketus cash to fund his takeover. An independent probe by Lord William Nimmo Smith found that Whyte’s failure to disclose he was banned from being a company director breached SFA rules. A source close to Murray said: “The main thing was that the club had been for sale for four years and no one had come forward. Then Whyte comes forward. “Murray asked for proof of funds and Whyte gave it. The money was in the bank – no one knew where it came from.” But fans say Murray’s use of a controversial Employee Benefit Trust has been the major catalyst for the crisis at Ibrox. The trust, through which players received tax-free cash in an offshore account, led to an investigation by the taxman, which is ongoing. Meanwhile, Murray has told friends he believes the club will be sold to an outsider and not the Blue Knights consortium being headed by former director Paul Murray. The source said: “He thinks it’ll be an outsider who’ll buy it and that’s probably for the best.” School should give Whyte the boot Craig Whyte’s former headmaster has urged his old school to remove mention of the shamed Rangers owner from their website. John Duff was rector at Kelvinside Academy in Glasgow when Whyte was a pupil from 1985 to 1987. A story on the school’s website hails Whyte’s takeover of Rangers – but since it was published the businessman’s carefully constructed image has been destroyed. Duff said: “I wouldn’t regard him as one of ours to shout about. I would be keen to see it removed.” What an utter wanker, am almost lost for words at his blinkered view and total failure to take almost any form of responsibility for the mess he left us in... "he only made one mistake" during his time at Rangers and for that he was "duped" by Craig Whyte. No mention of remorse for his complete failure to do any form of due diligence on the man he sold the club down the river for a quid...
  14. They can get to fuck, this must be inquiry #82 ongoing. Frankly we have bigger fish to fry than this bullshit.
  15. It would be poetic justice if we could somehow wriggle of the hook and Whyte was left to foot the bill... an unlikely dream however, am sure the slippery bastard would have his bases covered.
  16. Injured for the rest of the season or not, it is imperative we keep hold or Naismith as he is the sort of player we can build a new team around. As for Whittaker... his reported wage is an abomination to decency given his limited ability and would not be overly concerned if he went.
  17. 3 more to go imminently according to SSN
  18. Probably with his "agent" MacAvennie... I still cannot get my head round the fact the he would have such a cretin represent him
  19. Not too bothered about Celik, he refused to take a pay cut and looked mince any time he played
  20. Some hack from the Daily Express apparently
  21. He was not made redundant...asked to leave apparently
  22. Sir Walter, you can have nothing but respect for the man...fully deserves to take his place in the Pantheon of Rangers Legends
  23. Fat, baldy, ginger bastard... you just worry about whats going on at Paedo FC. We don't need to hear from no marks on things that have absolutely fuck all do to with them.
  24. If as reported (by the crook Whyte admittedly) we have a turnover / cost deficit of 10m a year then this needs to be addressed there is no point stringing the situation along as it does no one any favours. Even if the players take a 75% pay cut until the end of the season then we will still be faced with the same problem next year. Harsh though it is, we need to take the opportunity to cast off some of the deadwood we have in the squad...the survival of the club we all love is the ultimate priority here. It seems inevitable that redundancies will have to be made, so just get on with it and let us re-group and plan for a more prosperous future.
