  1. I used to deal with the guy in my work and he was decent enough to be fair. He is a Rangers man for sure but maybe a bit up his own arse, I would agree with that. However, he can't really complain about his work/football balance as he lives a sort of privileged life in that respect... through a family connection he works in Watches of Switzerland on the corner of Buchanan street and Bath street a few hours a day, flies down to London every couple of weeks for big weekends with his mates "spending thousands". Doesn't really have the credibility to be saying what he is saying.
  2. It totally undermines the Champions League which causes a lot of problems. Obviously the Gala chairman wants this considering their footballing situation in Turkey. The big fish trying to get into a bigger pond just like us
  3. I don't suppose there will be a place in Kuala Lumpur for me to watch it?!
  4. Cannot fucking wait to get into those bastards, bring them on I say
  5. Desperately trying not to be wanky about the incorrect use of an apostrophe but... finding it...so....difficult
  6. I have to say I really don't rate Berra at all. Zaliukas would be a good singing for me considering he would command a smaller wage than Berra and if you stick someone like Gasparotto in there with him, give him a season of first team football and watch him develop otherwise there young players will never amount to anything with regards to our first team. We will win this league, we need to be looking towards the future at the same time if you ask me
  7. Yes and no. If we want to have players playing for us in the future that were the standard of someone like Jelavic for example, we'll have to pay some money. But the key in that sense is buying smart ie someone in a minor league who will have sell on value in the future.
  8. I don't deny that but bear in mind PSG already has a decent squad in place before they signed their players whereas Monaco have had to build on a squad playing in a lower division. I reckon PSG will be better this year than they were last year and they'll be too good for Monaco over the pace but that's just my opinion.
  9. This is the point I was making. 3 big signings and a couple of has beens such as Carvalho won't be enough to win them the league, they won't even come close this season imo
  10. Solid appointment by PSG. Should win the league at a canter this year, Monaco don't have a chance
  11. Definitely think we will see an official unveiling this week as the players return to training. I'd be very surprised if we don't have an official photo by Thursday or Friday
  12. To an extent. I think the biggest difference between rugby and football is the zero tolerance policy when dealing with dissent from players. It's absolutely night and day and football could and should take a leaf out of rugby's book. I played a lot of rugby through my high school years and I got pinged so many times because I struggled to keep my mouth shut!!
  13. What a shambolic way to deal with the situation. It doesn't matter what Poyet has done, you speak to the man first before you release that statement. Unless the person responsible is an utter retard it's a quite deliberate attempt to humiliate the man. Have a bit of class, Brighton two wrongs don't make a right!
  14. I'd be pretty happy with that if I'm honest!!
  15. I can't see it but I wouldn't mind being proven wrong
