  1. I suspect the fact that Dave King 'sweeping to power' and Paul Murray making the initial approach to SR are mentioned within the piece will be enough to have a few rabids frothing at the mouth. Thankfully the vast majority (99%+) should see it for what it is, a decent balanced article that shows our MD for being both a true fan and a realist with excellent credentials. Exactly what we need at the helm of the Club IMO. He could if course have made grandiose statements about us being up there with the Barca's and Real's etc but the time for sound bites are long gone, its time for reality and proper hard work to get us back to where we deserve to be. Top stuff from wee Stu
  2. Our squad right now needs an injection of urgency in the final 3rd, so imperative for me is to freshen up the front 3. We need more guile to unlock the 2 banks of 4 that we find ourselves having to break down, I was hoping that we'd see more of wee Holt's runs off the shoulder but he seems unable to consistently find space between the defenders and goal. I still have every confidence in this squad winning the division, I think hibs will hit a dip soon, they are no great shakes formwise and have been getting all the breaks recently. Freshen up the front 3 to inject some urgency and competition and I think we can get back to scudding all before us again. I'd also bring back Murdoch and give him another chance as defensive mid, if for no other reason itll keep Andy Halliday on his toes till we get someone thats more suited to the role, oh for a rino gattuso!
  3. All the best fellow Bears, hope.the hangover isn't too extreme today lol
  4. Glad he's signed for another year, very positive influence in and around auchenhowie, sadly his legs won't want to last 90mins, but I reckon he'll be working more on the coaching than the playing side.
  5. Aye, they've made a habit of making `suspect` payments to their players for years, as attested to by Gemmel in his book.. If i`m not mistaken that`s during their most successful era too. Sporting integrity indeed.
  6. Goram Hutton Gough Butcher Numan Gattuso Souness Gascoigne Laudrup McCoist Cooper
  7. Smashing news yet again, I do hope the Edinburoo taigs don`t mind us nicking their best staff, seeing as we`re clearly not `rivals` any more
  8. As gutted as I was when he was sold, I`m not sure I`d be too keen to see his return, due completely to his injury woes. If `however` he did return & was to prove his fitness, then there wouldn't be anyone happier than me! The fickle f*cker that I am
  9. I`m seriously chuffed, for me it shows we are now right back on track (in a footballing sense) both on and off the field. Its been sickening to watch our Club being pulled apart & hawked off, so it`s fucking great seeing the rebuilding going so well. Loving it! Really believe now that the Manager & SDoW will have us ready for a right good go by next year, good times ahead I hope.
  10. If the lad has the hunger and desire to impress MW and DW then he`ll do for me.
  11. Sad news, condolences to everyone who knew and cared for Wullie.
  12. Sorry for your loss, remember the good times mate, I`m sure there were many. All the best to you and yours.
  13. I like the lad, great attitude and can play a bit for a natural CH as well. All three of the lads we have loaned in are quality, not that I`d ever doubt MW`s judgement
  14. I`m sure it will bud, he`ll be 90 next Birthday & sadly his health, mentally and physically isn't what it once was, get him talking about the Gers though and he can rattle though old games and players so easily that it`s like he`s talking about something that was yesterday. It`s brilliant to see him buzzing for Sunday(he hates Stubbs more than me) & it will be the first time myself, Dad, wife and both kids will all be at the same game. We better win & win well!
  15. Taking my old man to his first game in over 5 years, he has been struggling with bad health but the chance of a day in hospitality swayed him. The wife will be taking the kids instead of me which will be a first too, can't wait to have a few drinks with my old Fella at the game again. Im like a kid again waiting for Sunday
  16. Shame for him as he'll have a real task on his hands to regain his place in the squad when fit IMO. Doubt we'll miss him too much.
  17. I`m on 7-0 and 8-0 at 90`s and 225/1 respectively, not too confident though, kinda expecting double figures now!
  18. I really thought he`d had his only chance, glad to be wrong though. This is such a great opportunity for him, hopefully he takes it and goes on to have a long and successful career in the game.
  19. Speaks really well, can really feel the enthusiasm in everything he says. It`s great to feel in safe hands again, roll on the fitba
  20. Seems downright sensible to me, it`ll never catch on
  21. Haha, it was her bluenose that had me post that one, for whatever reason I barely notice she even has a nose in this one!
