A particular criticism that I would have about the team today was the number of times we seem to leave the six lard box vacated whenever a cross went in. There were some fine balls going in that went through that gap and if someone had been there we may scored a goal or more from those.

Agree, seemed really hungry, just wish he had blootered that on from about 13 yards out.  

Thought zelelam was decent as well when he came on which i know some will disagree with but he had a real desire to get the ball and link up the play 

Most of what I have seen suggests the offer is 400k for both. MW clearly thinks these are players for the longer term and while he could get them for less than 100k in the summer having the extra 6 months to get them bedded in could be invaluable.

Hope we start with McKay Waghorn Oduwa upfront tomorrow and then bring on Miller and Walsh around the hour mark.

Think it'll be too early for Oduwha/Ball to start, expect they may get some game time, but from the bench.
Reckon we'll line up the same way we started against St Mirren, Walsh and Mckay either side of Waghorn, with Oduwha replacing Walsh late on, and Ball for Halliday.
Expecting a decent game, pitch will be tricky, but we have the quality now to deal with it. 3-0 Rangers

From the Board's perspective they have to fully invest in the guy, not just in monetary terms, but in commitment when times get tough, and looking at his plans for the squad etc. I hope we have a manager not to win the championship, but to win the SPL within a certain space of time. This league should have been a mere stepping stone this season, I hope that is what it becomes next season.

Agree with all that. The signings need to be the basis for a Premiership winning side with a few quality additions when we go up.

No I understand the alternative completely. Warburton has had one job managing senior players and has nowhere near enough of a track record to know if he has the skills necessary to manage a club like ours. 18 months in charge of Brentford doesn't quite compare with the top job a Ibrox. How does he respond to failure? No one knows because he's only been a manager 18 months and took charge at Brentford in the L1 playoff places. How will he respond to the constant media scrutiny and fan pressure for success? Will he take the hump and resign again if the club decides to use more modern methods in its player recruitment? There's no relatively inexperienced about it. He's the same age as McCoist and has far less managerial and coaching experience.

It wasn't till Redsox pointed it out did I realise his record as a manager. I think we should widen the net. If the guy is good enough then okay, but 2 years isn't a long time to make a judgement on him.

I would as a lot of the market for cheaper players come from europe. UK based players tend to be too expensive.
But nothing wrong with a european manager with a Scottish assistant.
basically it should be open to everyone and best man should get the job.
