  1. "Swally" is referring to me apparently and he couldn't be more wrong.
  2. What are you on about man? "Another one flushed" There is only one idiot on the thread (Broxi Boab) or whatever. Ignore the fool and talk about Rangers. I'm intrigued why we have this thread in the first place. I was looking and posting about our team and noticed this thread.
  3. One obvious idiot this time but that doesn't mean the rest of us are beggars.
  4. Why do you keep blaming Whyte? He isn't mega rich but he saved the Club from collapse (at least temporarily) last spring. Are you seriously alleging that it is Whyte's fault that we lost to Maribor, Malmo, Falkirk, St. Mirren, Kilmarnock and couldn't beat St.Mirren and St. Johnstone at home?
  5. I totally agree my friend. I hate to see a playing legend go but it has happened to others and will happen again. Not just at our Club. It never looked good when he was taking the team in cup games under WS. This season has been shambolic in most games. I expect him to go when the league is beyond winning which will be pretty soon on current form.
  6. Why? Where is this situation going to improve? The last 8 games have been atrocious. What about the 4 Euro ties and losing out to Falkirk's under 10s? Can you honestly see some sign of improvement in the offing?
  7. Bedoya, Ortiz, McKay, Wallace. All Ally signings. If they are no good, don't sign them. It isn't just transfer fees involved, there are agents fees, signing on fees and wages. Whyte doesn't have much money to give the Club. We would be even worse off without Whyte. Our players should still be good enough to beat Maribor, Malmo, Falkirk, St Johnstone, St Mirren, Kilmarnock. Lack of cash doesn't explain poor team selection and poor tactics. It doesn't explain a lack of heart in the players. If we signed Messi, you can bet Ally would move him to accommodate McCulloch. No-one gets any pleasure from criticising our manager or players. It would be great to see them succeed but the simple truth is that they are not good enough. Exactly what purpose is served by accepting incompetence? It seems clear to me that our manager is pretty clueless. He can't even motivate players judging by the displays we have seen. Naismith must have been the only driving force in the team because since he picked up his injury we have only won 4 out of 8 games. We have dropped 11 points and played badly in all 8 games. Ally has been incapable of altering that run. For all those people who still back Ally, please tell us where we go from here.
  8. Craig Whyte had no real choice with McCoist getting the job. All this has done is prove that Ally is inept at management. Absolutely clueless. I shudder to think what he would do with more cash. He signed Ortiz, Bedoya and McKay and none of them were even in the squad. The first two are utter mince. Can't believe anyone watched them. McKay? Does he exist? Never see him at all. Bocanegra and Goian are OK but they were rush signings when the preferred choices didn't materialise. What does that say about the scouting and management? Lafferty is a waste of space. Healy? Why did Coisty resign him as he was rubbish last season? He appears to idolise McCulloch and rate Broadfoot, such judgement alone would justify the sack in my book. I don't see a £1.5m player in Wallace either. No better than Wylde and he isn't very good. I would rather have Hutton and Bendikson in midfield with Davis and another. Lafferty is hopeless. Anonymous in most games. The wheels have been coming off for months. Scraped by in many games. All we kept hearing from Ally & company was we are working on it, it will come good, etc. If we are all honest, we aren't really surprised that 11 points have been dropped in last 7 games. It could actually have been worse. In 26 competitive games under Ally we have been utter rubbish in 12 of them, just poor in 7 and reasonable/good in the remaining 7. The 4 Euro ties and League Cup game were dire. League performances awful since Aberdeen away. Can anyone see anything in Ally to indicate there is a good manager there? Nope, neither can I.
  9. Just now!!! They haven't shown much fight or passion this season !!! Coisty hasn't a clue !
  10. It's realism my friend, just realism. As with other posters, I hope the Gers win but I am sorry to say that scenario is unlikely to happen,
  11. Like every other Bear I would like nothing better than a Rangers victory. However, with recent form, team selection and tactics I fear the worst and not just by a single goal. I would happily settle for 0 - 0 just now as I can't see us scoring tonight. We have struggled badly for weeks and if Jelavic doesn't score who will? There is not enough passion in our side. That other lot will come out as if their rear ends are on fire. I hope the Gers get a result but my head says otherwise.
  12. Leave the bear alone. Kids love him.
  13. Good article Mr Graham. I also had a look at the crime statistics report from which the media reported and came to similar conclusions as Mr Graham. The figures for "sex" crimes were 10 times greater which should surely take greater precedence. I would also theorise that catholics have been and are more likely to report any such perceived sectarian offence. Indeed I believe that they have been encouraged to do so. The interpretation of the figures is also open to question. People with their own agenda put their own slant on the figures. In the context of crime in Scotland, sectarian crimes are almost insignificant when one considers less than 700 from some 500,000+ but political gain requires their exaggeration.
  14. You clearly missed the points I made, first was that Boyd was / is a better goalscorer (more prolific and deadlier in the box). His strike rate tends to bear that out. I also said that Prso was more target man than striker. Finally and the real point, Prso, Parlane and Stein can't do a job for us just now, Boyd probably could.
  15. I agree with this post. I've said the same myself. We have played 21 competitive games this season and only about 6 or 7 were good displays from us. The rest were pretty dire at times. 4 Euro games and 1 League Cup tie all shocking. If the tims hadn't had their poor spell we would be even more annoyed than now. I look at the squad and cringe at some of the players. McCulloch, Broadfoot, Ortiz, Bedoya for a start. Then we have Healy and Kerkar. I personally don't rate Lafferty or Lee Wallace either. To be realistic, I can't see the management turning things around particularly when considering the performances to date. Team selection and tactics are certainly not impressive. The last 2 games in particular showed a team lacking ideas, grit and determination. No motivation on the park and none coming from the dug-out. It does not bode well for the rest of the season.
  16. Boyd before Wallace and Fleck. Prso was a different type of player, more target man for the other striking partner. Boyd has a better record than Stein and Parlane. Probably a better goalscorer than both these guys. The point of this is not really who is / was better but who could possibly help us NOW.
  17. Boyd is / was a better finisher than Jelavic. Might be worth a punt to get him back. Weiss has a year left of his contract with Man City and he would be a good option for us. Boyd may have chased the money but how many people would turn down a mega increase in salary?
  18. Totally agree. Been the same all season really, when things are going badly Coisty doesn't appear to know what to do or when to do it. A lot of the games we have won the football has been pretty dire. Scraped through quite a few in fact. We have played 21 competitive games and I reckon only played reasonably well in 6 or 7 of them. The 4 Euro games were shocking as was the League Cup game against Falkirk's kids. Of the balance of 16 League games, that is where the 6 or 7 decent performances occurred. You only need to check the list of games to see where the poor / rotten games were. We were fortunate that the tims had a few bad results, which gave us a false sense of security. Loved McCoist as a player but have serious doubts about his management. Bedoya, Ortiz, McCulloch, Broadfoot would never be in the team as far as I am concerned. I'd also get rid of Lafferty, Kerkar and Healy. McKay should get a chance to prove himself. Lee Wallace has not impressed me at all and has looked a bit of a liability. I was expecting better as there were plenty comments about his ability at Hearts. I can't say I ever noticed him in the Jambos games against us. Fleck is another who should be given some outings or else get rid of him. Thought it was a mistake letting Hutton go on loan, he's a decent player and certainly better than McCulloch. Could go on but too depressed tonight.
  19. Surely he can have his say? If you don't like it say so and move on. Put your own point or debate the point but don't reduce the Web Site to gutter insults and slanging. Some of the stuff is pathetic.
  20. I have to say that I think Ally being made manager was a mistake. He had no real experience on his own. Acting No2 is not the same. Some of the stuff this season has been awful. The pre-season tour of Germany was utter mince. Europe was a shameful disaster and cost the Club millions. League cup exit against the Falkirk kids team. Bedoya, Ortiz, Healy, Broadfoot, McCulloch are hopeless in varying degrees, some even worse than others. Kerkar anyone? Today (as with many other games) tactics and team selection all wrong. I don't think Aluko should have been thrown on at the start. The boy Hemmings being played for Lafferty was another mistake, he was out of his depth, not that Lafferty was likely to provide anything anyway before injury. Why was McKay not in the team? If he isn't good enough to start in this team then he shouldn't be at Ibrox. Why was Edu taken off while McCulloch remained? No drive and determination on the park and no sign of any of any motivation from the management. Bartley was left on the bench. The player pool is awful. Coisty has added numbers but little quality. I'd get rid of McCulloch, Broadfoot, Ortiz, Bedoya, Healy, Kerkar. Fleck needs a chance or we get rid of him. McMillan looked decent at right back but doesn't get a game. I also don't think Lee Wallace has looked anything worth a transfer fee. I'm not convinced he is any better than anyone on the books and he hasn't done anything to justify his transfer fee. We are in free-fall now and the other lot will lap this up. 4 games before the OF game at the San Giro and I doubt we will still have a lead before we meet them. Ally doesn't appear to know what to do. I have no faith in McDowall or Durrant providing any help. I'm also annoyed by recent comments from Jelavic and Durrant which gave the impression that we only had to turn up to get the points every week. The worry is that the lack of quality and will to win has been apparent for weeks, today just emphasised the point for anyone who hadn't already noticed.
  21. Coisty blew it tactically again. 3 subs inside 3 mins when we were winning. That was bad enough but look at who came on. 2 left backs go off, he doesn't move Bocanegra to left back but brings on the useless Bigfoot. Edu having a reasonable game in mid goes off to allow McCulloch on just to make sure the opposition get plenty possession. What does McCoist see in that donkey???? As for Ortiz, Durrant should be sacked for watching him and then recommending him.
  22. Wylde was atrocious today and to be honest calling him inconsistent is also wide of the mark. His good spells are well in the minority. I only wish he was half as good as he thinks he is.
  23. I have to agree with you. I think Ally shows a lack of tactical awareness. He survives and misses a lot of criticism simply due to the other lot going through a bad patch. You only multi sub in dire emergencies but Ally did 2 together and the 3rd 2 minutes later. Look who he brought on today, utter dross. It's a sad day when the BEST out of 3 subs is Broadfoot and he went to sleep at the late goal.
  24. Whittaker had a pretty good game today. Broadfoot was miles out of position for St Mirren's equaliser. Why McCoist brought on a poor right back to play at left back after taking off two left backs (Wylde and Wallace) is only known by him. You never make multi subs unless in emergency. 1 up with 15+ to go and we make 3 subs inside 3 mins. Sheer lunacy. Lafferty fan-dancing in the corner is another reason we lost the late goal. He tried a similar sort of move a bit earlier and lost possession near the corner which almost led to a goal. As for the three subs, you could hardly find three poorer players for us. I'll never understand what any manager ever saw in McCulloch. The guy is a headless chicken on the park. Broadfoot's inadequacies are obvious for all to see. Ortiz is almost invisible when playing and when he does actually become apparent you usually wish he was still invisible. As for McKay, where is this guy. I didn't get a ticket for Tannadice so I missed his 7 minute cameo appearance. Daniel Prodan nearly appeared as much !!!!!!
