  1. Definately, but you would need someone like Greigy in there to look after them. Imagine this four in midfield, Gascoigne, Baxter and Greig with Laudrup out wide !
  2. Yes, you are talking shite, it wasn't a great cross, where was Ledley's marker from midfield, Edu? You obviously never watched the whole game. Who was it that dug us out of the shit in the last minute? Behave yourself.
  3. Bougherra has not been great this season and I actually thought we looked better when he went off on Sunday. Weir looked more comfortable playing with a no nonsense 'stopper' instead of playing alongside a centre back that wants to beat a man every time before clearing his lines. I honestly think that Ally won't be too bothered if he moves on at the end of the season. We do have cover in Papac, Broadfoot and Whittaker.
  4. Strange performance from the ref. Good that he didn't get the cards out early, but changing his mind for the Jelavic pen? If I was WS I would want to know why exactly. Fact is that replays show contact on his knee. If there is any contact it has to be a penalty and the fact that the player makes the most of it is neither here nor there. Jelavic knew what he was doing alright, he suckered the defender into the challenge. Mulgrew should have gone without a shadow of doubt IMO.The hand ball was one of these that some refs give and others don't. Wilson ? Don't know about that one. If it wasn't a pen then why no card? All in all we won so you have to say it doesn't matter, but strange, was that not the man who had us down to 9 men in last years final?
  5. I would agree with most of that. Ok, Walter's won a lot but lets not forget that his most successful run in Europe was with players not in the same league as Laudrup, Gazza etc. When Walter had all these players at his disposal and an open cheque book he was generally found to be tactically poor in Europe. I think Sunday is make or break for our season. Lose this one and I have a feeling the league may slip away as well.I'm also concerned about next year and Ally in charge. My heart wants him to succeed but my head says, 'have a clean out'. Hope he proves me wrong.
  6. Forget Diouf. Big big waste of a wage. No pace... whatever he had, he's lost it.
  7. Sorry, but the worst midfield player I've seen at Rangers in the last 40 years. Edu's a pub player. no better. Why did Foster come off and Edu stay on? It can't be all WS. Ally Ally GTF. Healy on for the last 5 minutes? Go on son, score us two goals ! Had it! PSV were pish, no season ticket for me next year. Thought Weir, Bartley, Whittaker and Papac were the only ones worthy of the jersey. Davis? Havin a laugh.
  8. This PSV team is very very poor. Can WS not see this? It's a no brainer. If they don't bring on Diouf and Healy and go 4 4 2 then as far as I'm concerned next season McCoist can GTF!! If we lined up like this in the SPL we would get ripped apart.
  9. Can't make up my mind about Diouf. Why no statement from the man himself?? Probably been told not to speak to the press?? If all this racist abuse went on then why are we not pursuing it? I would hate to think that we are being told to keep a lid on it by the powers that be SFA, Police etc. If the former African Player of the Year has been the subject of racial abuse then Rangers Football Club surely should be addressing this through appropriate channels? If he wasn't, then we should send him back down the road. Basically if an opposing coach has used the either the term 'black so and so or the n word then that coach, in the present world we live in should be sacked and banned sine die from our game. Did Allardyce not get sacked for saying something similar? Come on, do the right thing, put Thompson in charge, sack him !!!!
  10. That's right. It's on the BBC website. Ref and 4th official included the incident in their report.
  11. Just heard that on Reporting Scotland. Can't be right, she must have got it wrong ?
  12. You make a very good point. All we have heard about regarding responsibilities include the following factions. Players, Coaches, Fans, Match Officials. IMO the media have been acting irresponsibly for some time now. I personally find comments made on Sky, ESPN etc by Burley, Provan, Nicholas and co as inflammatory.Reading most of the rags it would appear that a number of journalists like nothing more than 'winding up' the readers regardless of who they support. Regarding the failed Scotland strikers comments about Diouf, you could, if you are that way inclined, substitute the name Lennon for Diouf in that article. I think he has had a lot more influence on the sequence of events than Diouf. IMO this has been blown well out of proportion by those seeking to create 'a good headline / story'. Right now i'm really scunnered with the whole thing. The ESPN subscription has been cancelled and I doubt Sky will last much longer.
  13. Ally's the man. More class than the wee ginger clown. He could do with better back up though. Suggest he gets Big Tel as assistant?
  14. Majstorovic was on a yellow card for trying to cut one of our players in half. In the second half he catches another player late and heavily on the ankle. Why did he stay on the pitch. Callum Murray? rest my case, homer.
  15. As long as Lennon remains this problem will escalate. The man has no sense of responsibility either to his club or Scottish Football. When his team are on top everything is rosy. If not, all the toys come out of the pram. Look at the Motherwell game on Sunday? Pathetic. He should be hounded out of our game, talking of which I can see that happening to Diouf. Unfortunately Lennon will not be dealt with by the football authorities who have shown already that they will bow to pressure from them. We will undoubtedly get hammered by the SFA. The racial laws as we all know are now very severe. So if Lennon did abuse Diouf in that way then use the law to throw the book at him? Take a civil case up against him, whatever it takes. There is no point in using the football association to bring him to book. Make life unbearable for him and use the legal system to get rid.
  16. Something's not right with Davis this year. Yes he was MOM on Sunday in centre mid but that's a one off against St J. After all the carry on with McCulloch's injury I wouldn't be surprised if Davis is carrying an injury. Did he not have problems with a groin / hamstring injury at the start of the season? He just looks really lightweight now and seems to get brushed aside very easily.
  17. McCann's an embarrasment. Wish he'd never played for us.
  18. Yes he was. We should have started 4 4 2 with him and Boogie at the back, same as Sunday
  19. Very difficult. When i saw the line up I knew we'd be under the cosh. Was at the game on Sunday and the players looked happier playing 4 4 2 . IMO Walter has made a big mistake bringing DW back. Bougherra and Bartley could have looked after their front two, no problem. OK, Jelavis was unfit, he should have gone with Diouf and Healy up top. We learned nothing from the previous games. Come on, the swedish donkey and mulgrew??? 2 up top was the way to go. It beggars belief really. Showed them far too much respect. Positives? McCoist.
  20. You could see Walter was livid in the post match interview. I think he said 'the referee over reacted'
  21. Exactly. Let's face it the Scottish Cup is a Mickey Mouse cup. They'll either lose to Caley in the next round or Brechin in the final! We'll win the League, the other cup and maybe go a bit further in Europe. We shouldn't forget that they were shite tonight. We were 6 players out with injury and I actually think if that clown hadn't sent Whitt off we would have stuffed them. BTW The Honduran? World Class? Foster had him in his pocket. Hooper? England? He never got a sniff.
  22. Well done Ally. I for one was a bit concerned about him taking over, but not now, that's the Ally I remember playing against them.
