  1. Big Sadiq will score 35 goals this season. He’ll sign a deal with Nike, and bring out OS9 Nike boots next year. Mark... my... words!
  2. Waste of money. Can’t see us ever getting our £750k back for him.
  3. Totally agree. As was said in another thread.... job done.
  4. Never mind the Fitbaw big man, think you need a tele.
  5. I think this was on a couple of years back during the night. I vaguely remember watching it after the pub.
  6. From the clips I’ve seen of Sadiq, he’s not that physical. Yes, a tall guy, but definitely not physical.
  7. Wee bit off topic for this thread. But I met a family from Liverpool on the train home the other night. They’d came up just to see Gerrard in his first game. Never been to Glasgow in their lives. Had no interest in Rangers before either. The da was hooked, he loved it. He’d already booked his next trip up with his mates. (I did warn him the weather is never this good though) Just goes to show how much of a master stroke it was bringing in Gerrard if the board are looking to increase revenue.
  8. The turf shrinks and dries up in this hot weather. Once we get some rain in the next few weeks the ground staff will sort it out.
  9. That’s me officially on the Stevie Gerrard bandwagon!
  10. ? that’s why I love this forum. We’re all talking about Ronaldo to Juventus, Bale, Hazard, Mbappe. Then a random photo of Ian Black signing for Tranent juniors pops up.
  11. Ronaldo will go on for years yet.
  12. His mistakes were mounting up and I’m sure they were interested in De Gea. If my memory serves me right he said he wouldn’t entertain going to Madrid as long as Casillas was there. Then ended up signing a new contract.
  13. Nonsense. mcgregor is the most experienced. Has the most appearances for Rangers. Has won leagues, and cups. Played in Europe. Head and shoulders above the rest in terms of suitability to be captain.
  14. I think some of the players were involved for visiting scouts to look at. Be it Halliday or Hodson getting a permanent move out, or some of the younger guys getting a loan move.
  15. Depends what Gerrard said to him. Maybe he’s said he thinks he’s a good player and will get his chance if he impresses on loan. It will be interesting to see how he does in the top league.
  16. Maybe they’ve got Jack Wilshire doing it ?
  17. Any idea if the training gear and casual wear will be available then?
  18. Listen mate. I want the same as you. I just worry what will happen if Gerrard isn’t a success. This appointment was so crucial after Warburton and Pedro. Yes it’s Gerrard, as unbelievable as it is. Fantastic player, one of the best of his generation. But we don’t know if he’s any good as a manager yet. He’s done 3 things right so far. 1. Bring back McGregor 2. Get in Arfield 3. Brought in a new defence. A ball hasn’t been kicked yet though.
  19. Will be ordering 2 in July then.
  20. Have you been living under a rock since 2012. We’ve lurked from one managerial disaster to another since Sir Walter retired. Gerrard will be a great Manager. But we’ll shoot ourselves in the foot if we start demanding he wins the league in his first season as a manager. Full time senior management is on a completely different planet to youth football. Instead of a team of eager young guys willing to learn, you’ll have seasoned pros with egos, there’ll be moaners, older players who can’t be arsed some days. On top of that you’ve got injuries, contracts, media duties, meetings with the board. This season there’s an early start and possible fixture congestion with Europe. The pressure of being in the Glasgow goldfish bowl (Liverpool rivalries are nothing like up here). That said, he’s a winner and might (emphasis on might) just do it.
