So I’d personally prefer a manager that sets us up to score 2+ a game. And go after them with an aggressive press and high full backs. Smothering teams seems to be a successful blue print. Setting up not to concede I think is a gamble. It usually works well when 2 of your best players are your CB. Like we had under Walter.
Not to say Dyche can’t do it. But it’s a gamble to hire him given he never has. Vs Ange did it his whole career in Australia and then Japan. So you knew what you were getting.
I think that style will suit us better

Needs to go. Great player, great job in Europe last season but he isn’t the right man to take us forward. The players clearly agree - their application has been shocking too though. No idea who to bring in instead but he isn’t going to turn this around now.

Just fucking embarrassing. They only play one way. How can we not be prepared for that. Throwing three goals away by switching off. It’s absolutely fucking criminal. Arses should be booted all over the dressing room but Gio doesn’t seem the type to do that.

I liked his urgency tonight as well. Running to get the ball for opposition throw ins when we were chasing the tie, dragging Lawrence up so that we could build another attack and the ref wouldn’t stop the game etc.

RIP Andy. The best keeper I've seen play for us. He was brand new to my brother and I when we had a tour of Ibrox as wee boys in the 90s. I’ll never forget some of the saves he made against the taigs. Sleep easy 😔
