Yet a trip to Ibrox to a football match sees dozens of opposing Croatian fans with a visible reputation for violence largly ignored and allowed to run amok against largely innocent Rangers supporters making their way to the game, Ulster flags removed from supporters and Rangers fans constantly monitored for singing naughty songs. Don't even start on how we are treated on our way to away games, busses stopped and searched and fans monitored and filmed constantly. Anyone could be forgiven for thinking that there might be a possible agenda out there instigated by the SNP and enforced by the Scottish Nationalist Police against the pesky Unionists, starting with where those Unionists appear to be most prevalent and most vocal.

I was looking forward to the new season with Steven Gerrard at the helm. After what i've seen so far maybe not so much. 3rd again and we'll go again next season

Against Bury in the friendly they looked "decent". Quick accurate passing, decent goals and a hunger not seen for sometime. That same Bury team that Liverpool could only draw with at the weekend. The home game against Shkupi was different affair altogether. Lacklustre, tired looking and pretty poor all round and we were luckty to get a penalty to make it 2-0. Looked like we started in the exact same way this season as we finished last season. Last night it almost looked as though SG had told them to go out and take it easy. No urgency in free kicks or any open play. It looked like they were playing a bounce game in training as opposed to a European tie with the sole purpose of not losing it and if you get a wee chance then go for it. I hope this isn't the case because that would breed a bad attitude in the players. We should be bursting teams in every game regardless, but last night just looked like a stroll about with piss poor passing and finishing. Positives? We're still in it. Just. Negatives? Too many to mention but Mr Gerrard has his work cut out to sort it out.

Windass tracked back to break up an attack, win the ball at the left back postion and played it up the line which resulted in the first goal. (I think that's what SG was looking for all the players to do better) He came close with a couple of headers, one which was a good save by the keeper. He got himself into some good positions, had decent movement and had a couple of chances that he should have put away. All in all I don't think he did too bad but I'm sure once SG reads this thread he'll be in no doubt that he's just not good enough and have him mopping out the showers for the rest of the season.
