  1. When I joined I never imagined the in house arguing would have been as bad. Fans not respecting others views. As a life long fan of my local football team RFC, my dad never allowed us to sing certain songs, but that didn't stop me enjoying the atmosphere it created when others did. Maybe that is why I'm amazed at some of the posts on here. In those days it was about our team and creating an atmosphere. I just wish it was that simple today.
  2. I was under the impression he was injured and didn't get a full preseason so has been playing catchup. Maybe he's still not 100%
  3. Mmmm mmm. Interesting you suggest we laugh, maybe you should listen to your own advice I find you one of the first to question our fellow rangers supporters on their opinions , double standards by you if I'm not mistaken.
  4. My only concern is with future talent, who will want to be part of our youth policy if there is little chance of making the first team. Why come to us and have to go on loan. These Players may need games but IMO if someone is showing promise, lets give them a chance , not put them back out on loan its disappointing. Time to run our youth policy like a business. Any young talent brought in should be treated like an investment, that over years should generate enough money to clear the costs of their training either by playing for us or in the transfer market. Time to create a system that gets money for them instead of free transfers . If they were good enough to get picked up and have gained years of experience with us well lets get a return on more of them.
  5. All this talk about the board. All I hear is who should go. Well theres not many left. Maybe some of you with all your knowledge should give us a quick summary of who we should vote for and why. Tonight's war cry about the Easdales not declaring their alliance to a particular side, why should they, maybe someone can answer that. I'm sure their investment in Rangers will only prosper if handled correctly so they may even find a summary beneficial. It's been like a roller coaster, one minute we have a hero the next we hate them, so who really has the answer
  6. Unfortunately, Rangers for many of these players was just about the money. In my opinion they were very well paid to entertain us and those memories are still intact. I just wish that they had felt some loyalty to the club and fans that had made them very wealthy, instead they turned their backs and for that reason I will never forgive them.
  7. Couldn't believe it when I read this post. What more can young players do? I had hope that we could attract more young promising talent with the chance of first team opportunities, how wrong was I. Good luck to the lad I hope he continues to do well on loan.
  8. You obviously have better taste than the rest of your relations.
  9. I was born to follow the Gers. The simply fact is that a chosen few created Rangers and then over the generations we multiplied to create the following we have today . Just remember WATP was not just a catch phrase, it is in our blood, it is our heritage and i feel privileged to be a fan.
  10. [/Mmmmmmm so some of you think our manager should have said nothing, well that says more about you than him. My interpretation of Ally's comment was if they hit this player with a hefty fine or ban, then there may well be over a hundred names to follow. I don't think it was a threat maybe just a warning not to use this player as an example. Lets face it some footballers aren't the brightest bulbs in the pack and may never have considered the consequences of their actions.
  11. I'm not sure about 100% trust especially when it comes to self preservation.
  12. Today I enjoyed being at the game. First half we looked sharper than last season but our finishing still a bit shabby. 2nd half: team talk obviously didn't go well IMO as we let Brechin back into the game. TBH I didn't feel confident until we got our 3 rd goal and well the rest is history. Still room for improvement but a positive result.
  13. I expect to be cheering every goal and celebrating every victory we achieve. Im apprehensive about the start of the season, but I hope our team has been strengthened with players that will bring back excitement and dare I say quality football to our deserving fan base.
  14. I was sad reading your post. If I had the ability or the words to raise Rangers from the shadows of their former glory I would, but, unfortunately we have a long fight ahead. It may not be the type of football you have watched in the past but its a learning curve for all parties. My advice is try and enjoy every moment on the roller-coaster ride to the top.
  15. Just catching up and loved your story. I can only imagine the great time I missed but glad you had a ball. The photos are great.
  16. Why not get Big John McKay to have a debate on rangers TV. All Rangers board members answering questions on Rangers future, why they prefer a particular camp and why the fans should back them. I'd pay good money to see that rather than reading second hand propaganda.
  17. I would be very happy to hear an open debate from our board members instead of leaked information of half-truths from reliable sources. At the moment we are being fed propaganda and that's the problem.
  18. Like most of the debates on RM they usually begin with speculation or a leak from the mole. This very post has been influenced by ' I have been reliably informed that this current battle is about money and power." Hence D'Arts decision, unfortunately in this debate the whole boardroom are being condemned again on hearsay. I just wish the reliable source had some good news for a change.
  19. I think the point has been lost. Respect of each others opinion as fans should have been the order of the day. Instead of insults flying IMO.
  20. Fortunately many of our our supporters follow us as a tradition and have kept their family ties to the club. That's why they come from far and wide not just because of the football. Lets face it there is probably a football ground nearer to you, so why not attend their games or did you adopt Rangers as a glory hunter. Respect costs nothing
  21. I'm surprised you find it so funny. A team that was adopted by a strong religious section and I would imagine many supporters today follow them because of their forefathers not because we are simply the best or for the football. I do admit I am not a loyalist but I do find your lack of respect for others the problem on here. You may laugh but there are a number of teams in Glasgow for us to support and its not always about the quality of the football, sometimes its about cost or proximity to you home.
