The Queens Park's statement seems to be a fair one relating to the truth of the origins of the armband as they are the only ones who actually do know the truth, and speaks volumes as to the continued character of the club that has survived on an amateur basis for over 150 years. However in modern day so called sports journalism (Glasgow rags in particular) the truth of a story is of no importance as it does not sell papers or get hits on websites. Well .... he's saying all the right things we all want to hear and seems to know what we are all about and where we want to be. Under no illusions as to the enormity of his task but is welcoming the challenge ..... not over the top gushing .... just down to earth reality of the situation and wanting what we all want.
