  1. Anyone who thinks they are doing the club good by not renewing their ST is entirely mistaken. The bottom line is that we have various groups who would like to own the club but for now they don't and until they do things the right way (i.e.: buy a majority of the shares) I can't support them. While people just try to destabilise the club so they can come in and pick it up cheap we can't get normality but we can keep the club afloat so don't let those who just want to get their hands on the club as cheaply as possible make you stay away.
  2. One of my favourite goals. Wee Vald was playing with a broken foot.
  3. My daughter was talking to Ally in a pub last night. Don;t think they discussed his managerial credentials though. We can win the championship but it will be very difficult indeed. I don't see us going another year undefeated. As I have said before I think the club will let Ally get them back to the top then change manager.
  4. Now Hibs are in the play offs I can cross my fingers and home they go down. Having 3 major Scottish teams playing in the Championship will really mess up attendance figures for the Premiershit (spelling intended). Hearts & Hibs will still have their derby games and we get some big grounds capable of taking our away support nice & close to home.
  5. Was it the current board who burned through the money ? In my case I moved to England 5 months ago so a ST is not a sensible approach for me as I will only get to a few games. I guarantee to spend the ST money on the club on match day & on official merchandise. I am also daft enough to buy more shares if this becomes an option.
  6. He does seem to have quick reactions so gets himself out of jail quite often but he needs to learn to keep it simple. As to his discipline he is a hot head but less than Black. Personally I think the goals he scores more than make up for his 'oh dear god' moments and he is entertaining and seems to love the club. His passing has improved. Fewer of those long balls to nowhere happening now. Overall I don't think he should go. I would part with Andy Little & Daly before Mohsni and various others.
  7. Either I don't remember the TV situation or I never knew. I was at the game in Barcelona and had a superb day.
  8. He has improved hugely since his first performances. On Saturday Aird, Smith & Law were working really well together. Fraser was getting clapped every time he took a corner in the second half so lots of fans were enjoying his play & of course the goal.
  9. It would almost be in Hibs interest to drop a division. They keep the derby games and get to play Rangers. I have always assumed that the first division, now the championship would not be won at a stroll but I do hope we win it at the first attempt. I expect Ally to be our manager next season though I can't see him being up to the job of the top league. He does deserve to see us back there though.
  10. I'm surprised that the large majority go for Naismith. Is it because he is doing 'ok' down south so we see his mug on the box. Lots of others were just as bad and are not mentioned here. As for Barry and his fall out with le Guen I'm not sure if le Guen would have been a great manger. He started his career well but has drifted into nowhere.
  11. It was an end of season game with the league won mid week with Champions League on the telly. Saturday should see a decent crowd (I have my train tickets booked & my ST at the ready). The quality of football has to improve though. Last year we were just happy to still exist. This year has been one long groan.
  12. The copland rear is a good area. Plenty of good fans in there. Food outlets and toilets are fine.
  13. Steven Davis, I thought he was 100% true blue & would never leave. May seem a strange choice but he hurt me more than Naismith who seems to be the most 'popular' choice.
  14. I have only made it to 2 home games and one other planned since moving to England so I'm not renewing this time but next season I will still spend the same amount of money with Rangers and just pick those games I can manage to attend. Starving the club of essential funds to suit Mr King is not a sane idea. The club has one more season, hopefully, to get us back to a place we can be profitable so we need to keep on supporting no matter what gets into the press. If it's published by the rhogue press we just need to ignore it and stay true to the boys in blue. ps: Hoping for some decent football next season !
  15. This is our one and only chance to win this trophy. It may be a humble one but there is no reason for us to ignore it. Given our last display it's not a foregone conclusion that we will stroll through the match & win so we need to play well & respect the opposition who will be among the hardest we have faced this year. Obviously the Scottish Cup is more important but the Ramsdens would be a nice addition to the cabinet & give us a special double never to be repeated.
  16. I can follow the logic but it's impossible to pull off and the risk in a play-off would not be worth it. We need to be back in the top league. As for Hearts they may be liquidated in the next few weeks. They only have cash to keep going for this month & the deal is not done on the shares. I would like to see this happen not because I dislike Hearts but to see what the corrupted ones come up with to avoid them going to the bottom division. Something about it all being one league now makes it easier for them to fix it for Hearts to just go down one division with more points deducted this year which has no real negative effect as they are going down anyway whereas if the didn't fold till next season the points would come off in the Championship.
  17. Nope, I don't remember the ticket being given back to me. I have plenty of other '72 souvenirs including the blow up Rangers player doll I took to the match, the Bull Fighter poster with the teams on and a really poor quality scarf sold outside the ground.
  18. We can ignore his comments. If he said something which gave us any satisfaction it was just an accident. Our road back to success does not depend on them and we just need to keep on supporting and ignoring the negatives in the press. One day the positives will far outweigh the rest. Or to quote Coldplay: Nobody said it was easy, No one ever said it would be this hard. Oh, take me back to the start.
  19. No, for the same reason I would not take other former players back. We need to move on and build a team for the future not hark back to former glory days. Very few players have done better in their second time at a club and we can't afford nor do we need another goalie.
  20. Off to look for train tickets now. An early start from Northumberland. Need to blow the dust off my ST.
  21. True, but Ally was not in a position to buy him and Vlad's father did not want him to stay at Rangers. He was with Man City after all.
  22. I think we should enjoy our titles for what they are, Milestones on the way back. Remember that the Rangers team from which so many 'good' players walked was not actually a very good team. We had no Laudrups, not even an Arteta and only Jelavic was top drawer before we lost him. We were not winning much and were pretty much treading water for a few years so we really had to go through a rebuilding. Shame it has to be such a long rebuilding but we are 2 seasons down just about with the prospect of some realistic football next year. Of course in the championship we will not walk through the league so Ally will be getting backed even more than now. He will probably walk if he gets us back to the Premier saying 'job done' having had enough abuse from our own fans & we will get Paul Le Guen's cousin as manager instead.
  23. I have mostly been in the front row of the club deck near away end, front row of main stand left of middle and my ST is currently in Copland Rear. The nice thing about not being in the front row is that you are 'in the crowd' whereas at the front you have a good view but you don't get the same feel for the crowd. Worst seat has to be the glass box because you are not really at the game with the glass in front of you.
  24. Add to that Stokes charged with assaulting an Elvis impersonator (you can't make it up) no link cause it goes to a website that's very green and would make most of us boak.
  25. Unless of course we invade the pitch like we did in Barcelona Then we had to wait until we were back at Ibrox the next day to see it paraded about on an old lorry. Good idea actually. The team drives round the track with those trophies we have picked up. I expect the Ramsdens added to the league though it's by no means a certainty. Unless our form returns or shows up for the first time, not sure which, we may just be dreaming about the Scottish Cup but like everyone else of the Blue Nose persuasion I would be over the moon if we did bring the cup home. Pop quiz related to the is it a treble theme, When is it not a treble to have the Scottish Cup, League cup & League trophy in the trophy room ? (I have a picture of this very situation, answer is easy)
