  1. I'm not sure if he deserves much credit for that, was mostly down to the fact he fell out with alot of the older players like Lasley and Craigen and Motherwell having fuck all money. This has been exposed recently, without the influence of the older players, as soon as they lose a game or go a goal down the arse goes out them. Hence going from 1-0 up to being humped 3-1 by St Johnstone.
  2. Awesome viewing, the difference in some of the players ages is so obvious though, McGrain and Wilkins struggling to amble along (though what a strike from Wilkins), while the likes of Laudrop and McCoist had just retired and looked just like they used to. Also that cunt Andy Walker diving in a friendly, no shame, does my head in when as a pundit he's always encouraging players to dive and influence the ref.
  3. It's more that Hearts fans absolutely hate Celtic rather than they have any great affinity for Rangers. I find that most Hibs fans tend to hate both sides equally.
  4. If you had went down Byers Road, then down Dumbarton Road till you meet Argyle Street and follow it till you get to PC World, then went across the squinty bridge or Bells Bridge at the SECC and along Govan Road then up, you could've got to Ibrox in about an hour instead of having to trek through the area around the Southern. Nice pics though.
  5. I like how they try to big him up as some kind of well known public role model that has forever shamed himself and his many devout followers. While i'm sure he's a nice guy, he's still only the Forfar manager ffs, complete non story. The papers are a joke.
  6. Not good enough for Rangers but having seen him plenty of times for Thistle, Gary Harkins is also far too good for the first division.
  7. Not a fan, but to give his due he played well today. Nice to see him actually taking players on for a change.
  8. Walk or if meeting in pub in town then i subway it.
  9. And you think playing against Cuba in Havana is easy? They may not be very good, but you don't think that one means something for them? Might mean something to the fans but since half the team use the game in the US to defect i doubt most of the players are overly bothered. Look i don't mean to sound disrespectful, but while there are a few difficult away games in terrible conditions, the US is THE dominant power or at the very least in the top 2 teams in the region by a considerable distance and has been for 20+ years. Huge population, wide group of players to select from and much better facilities than most of your rivals. Scotland is a country of 5 million that has traditionally punched above its weight, but now has to qualify in a group with one automatic spot and with the seedings will have at least one of the better teams in the world ahead of them, and even if they make the playoffs they will have to play another of the better teams. The qualification process is hardly comparable.
  10. Beasley's just very lucky in that his nation basically have a by to every world cup. Lov to see Scotland go to Estadio Cuzcatlan Estadio Azteca or Estadio Monumental. Pinches gringos I've watched a bit of the SPL since Edu went there and the way Scottish players shits themselves when they get the ball is laughable no flow at all they wouldn't know what to do with bags of piss and batteries being thrown at them. scottish players can't even put the ball in the net from two feet away *see norway. beasleys style doesn't translate well there and for people who said hes never been rangers class look at his psv videos. His nation is lucky? Get off of it. No one in Europe has any clue how difficult it is to play in Central America for a WCQ. Scotland would get eaten alive playing in the Monsta Cave at Saprissa in Costa Rica. Imagine playing on artificial turf at 34 degrees Celsius and with 90% humidity.. on a field surrounded by a chain link fence and a small moat while fans throw batteries and bags of urine at players who take throws and corners. I can see James McFadden and Co handling that really well. Scotland can't even get a result in Macedonia, Norway, or Georgia... so lets not talk about a bye into the WC. Not really relevant to the topic but, Mexico and Costa Rica away, that's 2 difficult away games and a slightly improved Honduras team. 3 still qualify automatically and 4th gets a playoff spot, that is pretty much a bye when the other teams are the likes of Cuba, Canada, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Haiti, etc.
  11. Why we paid money for a player PSV wanted off their books, after loaning him out to Man City, where he failed to break through in one of the worst Man City teams for years, is a disgrace. A winger who refuses to take opponents on is not a winger and with Walter prefering more defensively inclined midfielders it is a mystery to me why we bought him. I said at the time he signed he had been crap for City. He has lost a yard or two of pace and he lacks the strength or skill to make up for the loss, what's the point of a winger who can't beat his man? He's also been far too injury prone, though that's hardly his fault. Let him go in January and if we can get any money for him, great, if not some money off the wage bill combined with punting Rothen back to PSG might allow us fund another loan or bosman move.
  12. No, Glens are another "protestant" team. The Celtic equivalent in Northern Ireland is Cliftonvillle.
  13. He was awful against City last week in the league cup.
  14. It's hardly a massive sleight on Rangers, anybody getting offended by an obscure comment like that to sort themselves out, For the record Ianucci is pretty famous for his lack of knowledge or care for football, he did a sketch about it on one of shows on ch4 years ago about how people like him spout terrible football clichés down the pub to try and fit in.
  15. Rangers are my local team, will go watch Thistle maybe 3 or 4 times a season with my granda. Very occasionally will go watch Pollok or Petershill in the juniors.
  16. Nowhere near good enough, saw him a few times while he was at Thistle and he lost his place and was out performed by players who had been signed from the juniors.
  17. "They couldn't organise a boycott wit a stick o' rhubarb."
  18. Doubt Billy Davies would leave Forest just now, been doing pretty well and will have plenty of cash to spend in January to push for promotion.
  19. 2-1 Scotland, Caldwell and McManus is at least one goal gifted away.
  20. He did have at the start of the game, poppy fell off. Happened with a few of the Blackburn players yesterday as well.
