Good performance and result after a shite few weeks. Give the credit to the players that were on the field and leave the rest of the nonsense out of it.

I don't see how talking down the league is disrespectful to us. The league is shite and everyone knows it. That's why we've had managers and chairmen over the years spouting pish about joining Atlantic leagues or moving down south.
The rest of your argument about him being a championship level player etc I can't really be bothered answering when you've already admitted that you never seen him playing down there. Pure guesswork from you on that one.

Wouldn't say I'm a fan of him. I think he's a very good footballer when he's on form but he carries a lot of baggage which more often than not makes him more hassle than he's worth.
If we're saying he's not good enough for Rangers based on a handful of performances this season then there's only 2 or 3 players who are actually good enough for us when you apply the same logic to the whole squad.
There's a hundred reasons why we should get rid of him but being a shite footballer isn't one of them IMO. The management team signed a known problem player, he has turned out to be a problem, how could they not be to blame?
I think the hatred for Barton has blinded some people and let the management get away Scot free. Fact is we were playing shite with and without Barton, our signings have raised serious questions over the judgement of our management and yes Barton deserves a shit storm but our management do not deserve to be cleaned of this.
Their signing, their poor judgement. Their selections, their poor results.
 

I think you're pushing the argument to extremes to prove a point and by that making the argument less realistic.
Look at it this way, if we were going to sign a player who was well known to be crap but we still signed him and found he was indeed crap - who is to blame?
Hate Barton the man all u want, but it's the management who are to blame taking the chance of signing a volatile player who is well known for his disruption, attitude and ego.
Barton is living up to his rep, I think it's extremely short sighted to dump all the blame onto him.

Ultimately it means nothing, obviously Andy Halliday is more on our level from a personal perspective but it has to come down to performances on the park and Andy's have declined from the second half of last season. I love him and it felt brilliant to see an ultimate Rangers man like that doing well but if he doesn't step up again then he won't have a long Rangers career
We shouldn't let the Barton fiasco rewrite his situation or indeed any other player's situation, we've got problems whether Barton is here or not

Who do I believe?
Barton, who grew up on the streets of Liverpool and is a bit of a hot head, who may be an idiot but doesn't strike me as a liar
Or Liewell, who made up a tour of Japan to give his team a sporting advantage over us, and who also used the death of an ex-player to have a game postponed because we were flying and they had injuries and suspensions but did not when Tommy Burns died

Halliday is very average and he should have put a shift in at the piggery but he was nowhere for 45mins.

What a silly rule, as long as it does not affect the team you play for, there should not be a problem. To be honest, have never liked the guy, but it looks like that people are looking for any excuse to put the boot into him.

But as a club have we made every new signing aware of this? 
Any monies he won he should donate to the children's sick unit from Celtic ?

To be fair, he's been away from the club for a few days now so I'm sure the club would be well aware if we have any grounds to sack him. I'll assume that we don't or we would have sacked him this morning, that leaves us 2 options IMO:
Either try and reach an agreement to cancel his contract if we don't want him around the club
or
Put the matter behind us, tell him to screw the nut and get him back in training.
 
I really don't understand this 3 week suspension or how it benefits anyone.
