Cracking result and a very decent performance . Some of the passing and movement on and off the ball was great to watch players actually showing a willingness to get beyond their markers . Far more attempts at goal in and around the goalmouth is pleasing to see albeit there still seems.a lack of conviction when it comes to slamming the ball into goal from around the 18 yard line . Cantwell deserved motm a dogged display got tore in held the ball up well and danced with it under his feet despite having defenders around him numerous times . Young Mcausland also played very well used his pace and control to great effect for the goal and in other assists as well as some superb tackles when needed All in all a superb team display roll in Tuesday

I'd say we made it far tougher for ourselves most of the St mirren chances came off our poor play and not tracking those runners . Three or.four times we gave away possession in our own third and didn't even put a challenge in , one pass from the St mirren player cancelled out three of our players in one swoop leading to more than a few well earned forays into The box and getting the shot away Butland made at least three shot stops with his body to deny St Mirren so credit due even though it was a horrendous game to watch from a Rangers pov However I'm still to be convinced this team can get back to the consistency where they can dominate like they did on Wednesday but even at 0-2 it was still touch and go that's not.so much a work in progress as it would be with newer players but is an ongoing issue with our established players with so many lapses in performances around basics that shouldn't be an issue at all .

That's neither here nor there it's in terms.of contrast to our last two performances they are miles apart

Watched many title races down the years that go to the wire Some games I can accept we got away with a result through being poor ,but they were as poor a team as we've faced in a long time and I don't believe we were much better today The build up to and goal aside we went south in terms of finishing them off contrast that to Wednesday where we had far more control of the game today they barely put a string of passes together too many flicks ,hoofs up the park and head tennis ultimately falling to St Mirren players to counter that's not the surface that's poor distribution Throw ins were chronic to the point of losing the ball or going straight to a St Mirren player that type of ineptitude won't win us titles if they don't sort it out and is exactly why those type of weaknesses cost us goals and games.👍

Compared to Wednesday night today was fucking abysmal in terms of performance . Outwith the goal the standard of passing from three never mind ten feet was chronic . Tavernier continually pinging the ball up the line to nobody giving away umpteen throw ins McCausland had no chance with that crap. It's was the same with Lundstram where he can normally find a way through the middle was caught in possession time and again likewise Yilmaz his passing and distribution was crap . The amount of times where we were in the final third only to side pass or go all the way back to Butland is pathetic particularly against a team who barely threatened most of the danger they posed came through our ineptitude and they allmost got their reward a few times . I don't agree with the managers post match assessment about conditions the pitch or even the wind was the least of our problems in regards to performance it was shit full stop. Apart from Dessers goal and general first half involvement I wouldn't give any of them.pass marks for that shite today it was a world away from Wednesday nights display they at least showed good passing and distribution allied with clinical finishing .

Decent display last night in parts with three cracking goals in build up and finish. However the now customary fuck about in defence with the ball even when we aren't really being pressed at that point always leads to sloppy passes which Butland now seems happy to be part of and he himself had a few close shaves last night . Cut that shit out more so when the press isn't there and find the forward pass. The start of the second half was a prime example.of.hibs almost getting back in the game through our sloppy play and allowing them.a decent spell despite the two goal lead at that point. Enjoyed that game yesterday far better start and approach in the first half with two cracking goals compared to Aberdeen and Dundee we were far better in the passing of the ball and getting beyond their defensive line . We really.should have been out of sight by half time and the second half became too static in terms.of attack and good to hear PC's post match comments that even at 0-2 not doing the right things leads to us not being as effective as we should be where teams get a foothold on the game . I thought his goal was very similar to Saturday's against Dundee only this time he actually executed the shot with precision by playing it through the keepers legs intentionally whereas the Dundee one took a slight deflection but good to see him go one better in terms of finishing

Fantastic result but Tavs early form.was chronic from dodgy passes to actually leaving young RMc isolated with that crap header out wide leading to their first goal. Betis got far too much out on our RHS tonight happy to see the manager saw it and changed things . I thought John Lundstram.played really well tonight as did Lammers,Sima and Dessers in parts also a very well taken goal.
