One was amongst the most famous British footballers, the other probably unknown to most. 
Yet both had the honour of wearing our famous colours on the Ibrox pitch in front of 10s of thousands of fans, and we all knew they were loving being here, and thoroughly enjoying themselves in the process. And both apparently great guys too.
For me Ray Wilkins was a model professional, not too many players get to play for great teams at their peak like Milan, Chelsea. Man United and the Rangers. He played football the way I wanted to play. Thoughtful, intelligent, playing for the team, consistent, focussed, and with many moments of great skill and brilliance, for both England and us. 
And Stuart "Broxi Bear" was a model professional too, probably a natural, it's not easy keeping Gers fans entertained, as most of us know, but he did it at every home game we played, a hero for our younger fans 
In their own way they both brought a special kind of football magic to our club, each to a whole  generation of Rangers fans. 
R.I.P Ray and  Stuart, both Rangers heroes.

I can't say I would put it in the same terms as the OP, but there is currently a strong anti-Rangers undercurrent and a commensurate pro-Celtic one. I don't believe the Record is any more or less pro/anti Rangers than anyone else. The fact is that if Caixhina turns it around and Rangers perform the way they have the last 3 games, that under current will also shift. There are a few (and there always have been) entrenched views from individuals, but prevailing attitudes will change along with performances and the relationship the club develops with them.
At the end of last season and with the Euro result, I was shifting into the Caixhina is a dud camp. His particular brand of chatty machismo and idiosyncratic tactic babble does him no favours if the team is shambolic. That is changing. If we continue to sparkle, make progress, beat Celtic and so on, the world will change. I even have some hope that we win the league this year. I most certainly didn't have that at the beginning of July. Let's see how Motherwell goes.

This is one where the brains go a-wandering - he was an excellent player for us and a good captain - doesn't mean he's good in any other role ESPECIALLY for the above reasons.

Called out the BBC, Petrie, Cosgrove, English, Sturgeon, Hibs and the SFA in one statement whilst defending our fans.

Warburton has got to effectively build a squad from scratch so there was always going to be a few experienced players coming in to supplement the younger ones we will sign. I'm sure he actually said that in one of his interviews.
I imagine he will just sit in the middle of the park, starting moves with simple passes and plug gaps so the other younger players can be freed up to go forward more.
Don't get me wrong, it's still a bit of an underwhelming name, but it's not something I'm going to go mental about either because I trust Warburton's judgement.

People chanting 4-0/5-0 are far too confident, just can't see it being that scoreline.
If it's goal less at half time then I can see the fans becoming annoyed and getting on the players back, which will work right into Motherwells hands.
Need to be patient and any win tomorrow will do me.

They certainly will if we adopt that attitude. Unluckily for them we aren't all of that mind set.

If anything, their current league position is a testament to how well he done at motherwell

I saw it more that the club were always going to sell his best players from under him and he had just had enough.
