It's embarrassing that we still don't have a scouting network but maybe when the board identified Warburton or Cathro as possible managers with the background they have wanted to sit down and discuss the best way forward, rather than just employing folk to fill positions. Unfortunately I don't think this issue will be sorted until after the transfer window has closed as Warburton and Weir will be focusing on getting playing staff in and our new playing philosophy drilled out in training.

Durie & Jim Henry Leave Rangers
Ross-Gazza genius replied to eskbankloyal's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
That's my opinion, Durie may not technically been the best but he was a cracking no 9 who linked up well and brought others into the game and certainly played his part in 9 in a row. Novo also was a fans favourite and a legend in his own way but would he have been a 1st pick in that team back then? As I say for me Durie was a legend. -
Durie & Jim Henry Leave Rangers
Ross-Gazza genius replied to eskbankloyal's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Durie joined us when he was 27 and for 5 out the 7 seasons he was an important part of our team, his last 2 seasons he was a bit part player. For me he was a legend and in same bracket as Rod Wallace. -

Players Deserved Better - Ferguson

I'm sorry but these players got treated the same way they treated us...........with no respect!!! They were paid very well do complete 1 SIMPLE task, take us back to the premier but they failed miserably and at times made a fool of themselves and our club!! -
How Many More Signings Can We Expect...?
Ross-Gazza genius replied to graeme_4's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I think we need to move 2/3 on and bring in another 8/9. -

The worrying thing is that some youth have been given opportunities in forward areas but when looked promising they've been left out or farmed out on loan, but our weakest area of the team(defence) we've not gave any youth a chance at all!!! What's happened to Gasperotto? Do we not have any good youth in these area's? If we don't why did'nt we sign Andrew Robertson when he played against us 3 times and looked assured!!! Someone needs to step up and take note of this quickly as we are dying without any fight what so ever!!!!(Maybe a bit extreme)
-
It's obvious that Simonsen,McCulloch and Miller(coach material) are finished, these guys should'nt play another game from now to the end of the season so our best youth players should fill these positions immediately. Then there's Foster,Law,Black,Hutton,Daly who are not playing well enough to hold down a place so again we look at youth and before you know it we have almost a full team of youth!
-
There are managers about that are being successful with teams built on youth and experience so it can be done, we only have to look at Hamilton last season and this and how good a job Alex Neil done, there's also that tim at Dundee utd and they wankers at Hearts! We need to sort our managerial situation ASAP and look to implement this from now until the end of the season so it's in place for the start of next and hopefully we can start to bring the good times back.

I agree I was totally disappointed when the youth at the time decided to walk away when they had their opportunity to become fans favourites and help us climb the leagues. Whats happened since has shown that these young guys are better off away from our club as we are not interested in bleeding them. If they were given the opportunity from now to the end of the season and performances were inconsistent(which happens with youth) how many fans would be all over these young guys telling them they're not good enough only to shatter their self confidence. If we want youth to come through and take us forward we've got to expect that with every 2 or 3 good performances there might be a few bad 1s thrown in as well, the example being that Lewis Macleeod went off the boil a wee bit and then some folk on here saying he's shite blah blah blah and the same is happening with Aird if he does'nt deliver every week. We need to be far more patient with youth if we want them to progress but I'm not sure with our current state our fans would be willing enough or forgiving enough to let them!
-
Everyone is crying out for youth to be given the chance to progress and get their opportunity, if they were my question would be that with our current state on and off the field, is it impossible for any youth coming in to truly show what they can do due to fans being angry and expecting a performance straight away without being labelled shite and not good enough?

He slid in to stop a certain goal from the 1st player that was going for it the ball squirmed out to him facing the goal a yard out and tried to poke it away while swiveling on his arse!! How is he meant to take sole responsibility for that!! What was wallace doing to stop the cross? What was the keeper doing to stop the cross or save it? What was jig doing to stop it?(I think he was the 1 that was on his arse on the goaline takling simonsen) Where was Mcgregor? So there was only Foster following in to try and clear it. As i said I don't rate him but he certainly wasn't the worst today.
-
I'm not a fan of foster, he's been fairly poor since he's joined and defending has been comical! BUT There's noway he should be getting slated for today's performance he tried his heart out, got forward put in a number of crosses and generally done well! The goal was unfortunate and it amazes me that people are slating him for a situation that should've been dealt with by our keeper or centre halves but again failed! He was on his arse making a last ditch attempt to clear a certain goal and tried to prod it to safety but again no other rangers player following in to clear the danger! He's a scapegoat at times whoever there was maybe 9 others that were worse than him! We need to get a grip of slating people for the sake of it and start supporting rangers the way we should be coz we're now doing as much damage as those in charge are!

Rangers Sign Five Newcastle Players On Loan.
Ross-Gazza genius replied to PromDeAnglais's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Obviously I'm happy that we've brought in new faces to lift the place and hopefully improve our performance but I can't help thinking that the biggest and most important signing would've been a new manager, I'm not that confident things will change under the current circus act! -

Or due to ashley owning Newcastle they might just pick up the tab for them, don't always have to pay the wages for a loan deal as some teams are happy with the getting game time -

He's resigned which means he doesn't want to be there so he'll either see out the remaining year or the board needs to do something about it. The problem we have is these 2 fuckwits ain't gonnae leave without milking us dry 1st -

Horrible goalkeeper who doesn't ever step up in the important games! His attempt at saving the 2nd goal was poor as he dived with the wrong arm but law could take part of the blame for not clearing it before that!
