If we get the right appointment before it is out of sight, we could really mount a serious challenge, especially with them still being in Europe. The problem is, no one seems to know who the right appointment is.

I actually used to play with their keeper, he gets into the England U19 squad so for Hardie to score a hat-trick is pretty impressive.

I actually don't think there is much of a gulf in terms of pure ability, I just think all of their players are playing at the very top of their game due to confidence and their manager. The majority of our players have the ability to be performing at a much higher level than they are imo.

Think he could be very useful to have coming off the bench for when we are chasing a game, given his injury record I hope Pedro's plans don't revolve around him being a crucial part of the squad.

Halliday has been shite but he's the closest thing we have to a tough tackling midfielder which you need in a 442. Garner because I think him and miller could work really well together as a front 2.

Tbh I'm not sure Wallace would be able to play there in that system. He makes some good attacking runs and has a decent end product but in that system the wide men have to be able to beat a man Imo.

I don't understand why so many people say this. The only thing he has to his game is pace, but mozt of the time teams sit in deep against us so there would be no space in behind for him. saying that, I'd of liked to have seen him put on instead of dodoo on Saturday.

Tbh I'd say we try to play it out from the back about 50% of the time now. If you'd said this in September or even maybe before the hearts game at ibrox I would've agreed with you. Warburton has adapted a lot compared to when he first came to us imo.

When did I say all that shite? I'm just saying that I think it would be far from impossible to find a striker better than garner for 1.8mil. And tbf this would be made a lot easier if we scouted outside the UK.

Yes but we've paid 1.8 million for the guy, guys like Halliday came for free. If we're paying 1.8mil I'm expecting them to be as good as anyone in the spl or at least have a sell on value.

Our only usp that's sets us apart from clubs like Chelsea, assuming being a Rangers fan isn't enough, is how shite Scottish football is. If someone is good enough for Chelsea's U21's, it's surely likely he can hold his own in the SPL. Imo it's the only thing we can offer him to prevent him from leaving.
