The point is that King comes across as someone that doesn't understand European football and the finance it brings. He is talking as if we finish second and that will open European riches to the club and it simply doesn't work like that.

King said is crucial financially and sounded to me like all our eggs are in one basket. If we are truly putting everything on El group qualification then we are in for a shock. I just hope there is investment lined up either way. That final playoff round would be a killer

Sorry to disagree with you but while I was watching the Man U game last night with a fellow bear, they said they would love a group like that next season and didn't realise the amount of games required just to qualify. Unless we spend in Jan this is highly unlikely. Aberdeen can't even get by the 3rd round and they've had 3 goes at it

The most concerning thing about today that I don't believe anyone has picked up on, is that Dave King has said that European Football is critical next season in terms of finance. Now best case scenario this season, we finish second. We will have 8 early summer qualifying matches to play in order to make the group stages. We also won't be seeded in any round. The odds are heavily against it unless there is significant investment in January.

Wont be anyone from Europe as Warburton has said he wont sign anyone from outside the UK as it takes too long for them to settle.......

What worries me most is that I don't feel there is any plan. He says exactly the same thing after every match and looks stressed and panicked. I want a strong manager, a leader, someone with direction. He looks like he is just winging it, and plan A is all he knows and anything else tactically is out his depth. He wont last season.
