  1. I should be allowed to give you more than 1 like for that πŸ˜‚
  2. Well said! If he's a mid table player then the spl is a lot lot lot better than I thought πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  3. Yep, his standards are high and if you don't meet them you're out. Bodes well for us I reckon.
  4. He's welcome as long as he brings the Mrs.
  5. Just finished reading the Peter Crouch book that I got at Christmas. Light, enjoyably read and he seems a genuinely nice and funny guy. Anyway the last chapter is titled 'Gerrard' and he writes with great affection about SG and the standards he demanded at Liverpool, how as a newly signed player you wanted to impress SG more than the manager, the way he'd test a new signing and how he'd judge you. He talks about the obsession with football and winning, the passion and never settling for average. He talks about his down to earth nature and attitude despite being a superstar. Probably nothing we didn't know to be fair but just got me thinking (again) how badly we've lacked that kind of leadership since Walter. I'm not comparing them because Walter is in a league of his own in my lifetime but it bodes well that we have this type of character leading us again. Interesting to get it from a former teammates perspective. Made me feel strangely proud whilst reading it!
  6. Great post. It's been said on here countless times over the last few seasons that we can forgive players for not possessing world class quality but we can't forgive them for hiding in games and not giving the shirt 100% commitment. Candeias the footballer obviously isn't world class but his commitment is and the number of times he wins back possession from nowhere is ridiculous. No wonder he often gets subbed the amount of running he does. His final ball is a mix of shite and brilliant but he's more than worthy of his place in this vastly improving Rangers team. Whenever his time with us comes to an end he deserves to be remembered with great fondness.
  7. Listened to the first minute. Couldn't go any longer. Not exactly Frost Nixon.
  8. But remember that they're 'humble' in defeat. Class and humble, win or lose. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  9. Will never tire of that. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  10. Love reading through topics like this. It's reassuring knowing that I'm not the only one going through all these emotions. When I was young I always naively thought the extreme emotion would become less with age/maturity but it doesn't, it just doesn't! My prep for the match was a couple extra layers of deodorant and I think it paid off, especially in those last 10 mins πŸ˜‚
  11. Alfredo was a major factor in our clean sheet. The way he pressured their defence stopped them building any momentum at all. A selfless performance full of desire and energy. He wasn't alone with that of course. If it's his ultimate ambition to play in the EPL then another season or two with performances like that will get him a good club and he'll leave with our best wishes as a hero.
  12. Scott brown will be having nightmares about Jack, Arfield and McCrorie. Every single player though stood tall, refused to be bullied, got stuck in and proved themselves to be good footballers. We won the battle and it's been a long time since we could say that. It was a 1-0 hammering. Sweet dreams broony.
  13. Meant as much to him as it meant to all Rangers fans. Superb performance, well done Andy. Fucking enjoy your night. I know I'm enjoying mine πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§
  14. What about Kent? Any chance for the 29th? I reckon Kent on his game would destroy lustig or whatever gimp is at right back.
  15. Totally agree, the problem with following the Rangers is that it's either euphoria or crisis! I think SG is building and has probably exceeded expectation so far but to be in with a chance of winning 2 home games to go clear at the top for new year? Anyone would've taken that.
  16. Alfredo has ensured that I enjoy Xmas. Cheers wee man. Keep them coming.
  17. I think that's what is frustrating the manager. He knows all about playing consistently well game after game, season after season. If we had shown even a bit more consistency we'd have daylight at the top. I understand his frustration. I do still think we're closer than most would have expected at Xmas.

Maybe not the most obvious choice as captain but a brilliant modern day full back. I rate him highly and yet another assist today.
  19. Spot on. And he does it very well indeed.
  20. Thought we played really well apart from the end product (which is actually quite important!). Yellow or red? Think it could've gone either way. Definite penalty. We're due to give someone a hammering I reckon. 29th would be good.
  21. I saw that. Fucking Twilight zone πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  22. I was just a bit young to appreciate Davie Cooper in his prime. My grandad used to tell me how good Davie was and I remember him barely able to speak when the news was on just after Coop died. He wasn't an emotional man my grandad, old school, but that really got him. Anyway the fact that Davie Cooper was my hero's hero makes this recognition from a world great very nice to hear and totally justified. Glad that was posted because I'd probably never have seen it otherwise.
