I agree about looking abroad but again we should be looking at young players, we should have enough to get 2nd place (I say should) so we should focus on building a good team and take our time
Fans want immediate success which is fine but we need to be patient, would rather a long term manager than someone like McCleish in short term
Warburton is just a stubborn prick, always has been and this has been coming, although not how I thought it would happen
Davie Weir must have a long hard look at himself after this, he's just burnt all bridges with the club which held him in legendary status, more sickened with him tbh

Exactly, people moaning about not getting this 30m everyone's going on about. The board have back the manager but least there not bankrupting the club like a certain mr Murray did. Yes they could do better but we are a club and in a better situation than this time 3 years ago.

Pffft wow at the pish your spouting really get king and the board out who's going to come and be the saviour then ? I get he's not eveyones cup of tea but dont forget least the club is still running and progress has definitely been made just no pleasing people at all I'm less worried than I was when we had Ashley's crooks running the club put it that way

Will be noticed by everyone in football and hopefully they never work in the game again.

Barton, Rossiter, Senderos, niko and garner would have been a substantial wage outlay.
We were unfortunately in a position where we couldn't afford mistskes or misfortune when recruiting. We've had more than our share of both with that lot.

Fans are never going to be happy overall but you can't ask for a better statement from a Board
Aye some of it is business bullshit and it beats around the bush but it's far far more than we've had from anybody over the last 5 years
Don't think anything said in that statement is wrong, Mark had the funds, brought in more players than he seems to have been promised and has failed, board have acted appropriately.

Warburton is a disgrace. King is crying out for investment thats what i took from that. Rangers are crying out for investment.
The fact we never got 1 offer or any transfer money for any 1 player in january shows our team is not worth any money right now under warburton and if that happens any longer Rangers will go down the pan quicker than lightning.
We need a new investor someone we cannot chase away to fk without great reason
Fk u warburton uve put us back a year and the board you picked them so pick better next time!

So much moaning on here. King got rid of a pair of rats end of. Give him a chance. Let's just wait and see what happens nxt. I honestly think things will get better for us! Our biggest prob is fat Ash as far as I'm concerned!

assuming all this is true, how the fuck can anyone be upset at our board getting rid of a snake that doesn't want to be here?
-
Easton82 reacted to one55 in Second Statement
surprised that he said we've had 18m invested...doesn't feel like it. i think warburton definitely played a part in wasting the money. shite signings all around.
i'm not king's biggest fan but i think this was a good statement. disgusted at warburton saying we are just a stepping stone. thank goodness he's gone.
the board need to get someone in quick to get us on track.

This is totally embarassing haven't us Rangers fans went through enough in recent years already? We seem unable to do anything right. How long does it take for the club to come out and make a statement or are they happy enough for everyone to be taking the piss out of our club? When the hell are we ever going to return to a bit of normality?

Part 1
BP9, you know something...
Just as it is seen as a mental illness being sad, lethargic, annoyed and demotivated all of the time - it is a mental illness being happy, positive, uncomplaining and uncritical.
You just don't seem to get it.
Whom are the more balanced individuals on site? Those who celebrate our wins and are gleeful at doing so, and the same people who criticise, and are negative after a shit performance or loss.
Life has peaks and troughs and those who see only one of those are suffering from depression or some kind of mania.
Part 2
People like you are just as damaging to Rangers as the people who knee jerk after a bad performance following great performances and progress. Why? That's simple.
Sometimes change needs to happen, sometimes no matter how good a fit someone seems to be - they never live up to their potential or the expectation. That is life.
You are damaging because you would follow people into the abyss without question. We as fans giving people money to keep our beloved football club in a healthy position have to be critical of poor decision making and poor use of our money - it keeps standards high. It prevents shysters from staying in charge.
Part 3
You have made a few posts regarding trump, and I don't know where that has come from but I'll use it. Generally, trump becoming president is being seen as a negative thing. However, he has been installed into that position because he won the election - more voters wanted him in than not.
Fair enough.
Now if Trump is as bad a president as most well educated and sane people think he will be, it would be disastrous for those who supported him to initially gain that position to keep supporting him. There has to be a change of opinion after a reassessment of what people thought he would be and how things have actually turned out.
There has to be an assessment of time and improvement, therefore progress.
If Trumps progress could be so slow as to be very damaging to the USA then people should have a rethink.
If Trumps progress is not going to meet an acceptable end standard then people should have a rethink.
If Trumps reign is going to result in regression then people should think again.
Part 4
It may be painful admitting this person whom you thought was perfect is not the answer, and it may be painful in admitting your fault in supporting him. But almost all of us thought Warburton was the man for the job, we wanted him to succeed and he's not succeeding.
Do we have to wait until mediocrity is riddled throughout our club and we have lost the very identity which makes us who we are before admitting there should be a change?
No - that would be counterproductive and a disservice to those who helped forge that identity in the first place.
Sometimes the best thing is to take stock, admit things didn't work out, and wave someone off with our best wishes. There is no shame in admitting mistakes and trying to correct them, there is in deluding yourself to keep a floundering, damaging dream alive.
Ask yourself what are the most important things about Rangers and what separates us from other clubs, and then ask yourself if we might be in a position to lose all of that.
This is what we are all worried about.
Sorry for the long post, it's unlike me.

Powderpuff pish. We're a shambles from top to bottom.
King - lying bastard who couldn't give a fuck, Money - we've none
Manager - out his depth, Team - soft as a baby's first shite
Defence that looks like they've just met and haven't been able to defend across two seasons now
Building for future? Hill, Barton (in summer), Krancjar, Senderos
25 points behind mhanks on 1st Feb, GD of just 7 and second worst goals in league
We are fucked.
Anybody that thinks this is acceptable needs their heads examined. Time to get rid of this inept manager and invite applications.
