I think if he was trying to be rank rotten he'd fuck it up and score.

Just as well Hughes blocked that ball through to Waghorn there. Saved some poor bastard in the Copland getting hit in the face.

Why would any football fan care about the application of this rule? Of course he shouldn't have received a booking for that, nobody should.

Except a puppy would show teeth, at the very least. Pretty sure my shih tzu would have done more damage up front than Waghorn today.

The guys roles is to give opinion pieces on Rangers Football Club. He's not an investigative journalist.

Honestly only read a few pages of this thread but it kind of sums up whats broken about Rangers in particular and Scotland in general. Constant in-fighting, tearing down of those who want to better themselves, mocking people who try to make a difference, cynicism, distrust of motives, "sold the soul to the devil" shite.
30/40 years ago when the taigs were starting to get jobs in the media and in public office do you think their like minded comrades were telling them "don't take the establishment shilling"? were they fuck, they would have been celebrating every position gained, congratulating anyone that picked up work that might lead to influence in the future.
We need more people to start fighting back, in whatever small way possible, writing a blog for the Daily Record, getting on to local council elections, getting into public service, join the fucking police.... whatever but make sure that we are fairly represented because, in case its being missed, we are being fucking humped these days from all angles and all we seem to be doing about it is moaning and knocking our own.
Fighting back doesn't mean getting a gig writing a football blog for a taig infested rag and then penning an immediate expose on the paedophile ring run at an institutional level and being slung into the same category as ill phil.
It means building credibility, bringing parity in reporting, taking back a little bit of influence at a time, helping allies and developing relationships . It could take years. But if we crucify wan guy just for making a wage for writing a blog then we have no chance

Everyone has a choice and they are free to make it, writing about Rangers professionally creates a potential for a conflict of interest.
I have been writing about the youth teams since October 2008 and haven't made a penny from it. For the majority of that time I was in full time employment.
I could take the cash offered by advertisers, considered  taking it and donating the money to the youth fund, the figures were not substantial so decided against it.
I do it because I enjoy it, the club coverage of the youths is minimal (they use my reports on a regular basis) and it provides a service to the minority that have an interest in the youth teams

The blog is free and everything is written by me alone.

Why should the EBTS make a difference there? Murray ran up debts whilst portraying himself as our saviour then washed his hands of us when the banks closed in. He knew about Ticketus prior to administration and rather than report it, he met with Whyte and can't recall what was said about Ticketus. If anyone deserves hostility over what happened to us in 2012, it's Murray.

Sky Sports and BT aren't much better; it's just the usual 'Engerlund' mentality that the media seems to have. After Spurs got knocked out of the Europa, the presenter asked the pundits if, just perhaps, they're overeating how good English teams actually are.
They're already talking about United like they're a sure bet for the Europa League, just like they did with Liverpool last year.

Last year McManaman was dismissing Sevilla before the Europa League final. In fact, he got tore into Liverpool for struggling against Villarreal.
This is the same pundit who, not long ago, criticised Celtic for being outplayed by Inter Milan because "they're the Scottish champions and Inter aren't even top three in Italy," then admitted he hadn't watched much of Celtic or Inter domestically.
The only thing Italian football is lacking is attendance, and several clubs are trying to get approval for their own, fan friendly stadiums to try to get fans back. French football gets slated by the English media, yet their teams always look to France for players. Could go on and on about how daft they are.

The top sides in the German, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Italian leagues would all pump the top sides in the English league.

Monaco, Juventus or Atletico winning it this year would be a nice change, but if Real get to the final I wouldn't bet against them. I'd rather enjoy Atletico  beating them in the final to win the tournament though...
