  1. I think he meant respect as in they have the ability to counter and get back into it if we just lose shape and throw everyone forward because everyone on the pitch wants to score, rather than respecting them by keeping the score down or not embarrassing them as people have taken it. More a case of he should of worded it better than anything to be worrying about imo and to be honest I agree, yes score as many as we can and kill the game off but even after scoring 5 it’s still important to be professional and stick to the tactics/ formation.
  2. Good points and good to see some are not letting it go. I wonder if the reason it has all been swept under the carpet for so long ,even while down here in England it’s more in the news than ever, is because there are people higher up in Scottish football and Scottish society in general who were also part of the celtic F.C. peadophile ring? Could it be that the people and powers at the top were involved and that’s why things are so quiet? They’re not covering it up for celtic but themselves?
  3. We can’t just cancel his contract anyway, he would have to agree to it and no way is he going to do that. Let’s face it once he leaves us his career is finished, with the injury’s he’s had he’ll belucky to carry on playing pro if he does it will be at a low level he’s never going to earn as much as he is here again. Sadly we’re stuck with him until 2020.
  4. Always said I think he’s a decent player, just has a mentality/ confidence issue. Hopefully as he plays more games and gets used to playing in front of 50000 fans every week and high pressure games that will improve. He’s still young and only came from Accrington it’s a massive step up.
  5. Delighted with this, best right back in the league! Now just give him the armband and wait for him to lift 55! ??
  6. IMO this was the main reason he failed. He came here with a small club mentality and didn’t get what it meant to manage a big club. Finishing second or third to qualify for the europa league and getting to semi finals and finals might be success for smaller clubs but this is Rangers and the only thing that’s acceptable is winning, he never got that.
  7. Was never a massive fan of the leagues abroad but used to watch a lot of premier league games. These days I tend not to bother unless I’m in a pub and there’s a game on even then I only tend to have a quick look now and then. As others have said the epl has lost its passion both on the pitch and off it, the new age armchair fans who go and watch one or two games a season and the rest of the stadium full of day trippers who most of the time don’t even support the team they’re watching has killed it imo. The atmosphere and passion and sometimes outright hatred was what made football so exciting and it’s slowly been sucked out of the game. I only really bother watching Rangers England and occasionally Bristol rovers these days, although sometimes I feel like I should cut those out for my own sanity aswell ?
  8. Fuck me I thought the last few years were bad but getting an admiral kit is taking us to new lows. I know it’s only a kit supplier but what does it do for our great clubs image? Makes us look like the scums small time skint neighbour, embarrassing.
  9. I think the board will keep him as long as he doesn’t finish lower than third. For me unless he wins the title the only way I would accept him staying is a cup win and no more than 5 points behind the taigs. Anything less and get an experienced manager in, but sadly I know barring a disaster the board will take the cheap option and give Murty a new deal.
  10. Barton, Niko, Alves... How many more until we learn signing past it 30+ yr olds on massive wages isn’t a good idea!
  11. What’s worrying me if they replace him with one of lawells men (almost a certainty) could they re open the case or start another investigation? Wouldn’t put it past those corrupt bastards.
  12. Can’t wait to see him score against the tarriers!
  13. Please god no! Should be a back up to DJ and that’s it with the captaincy given to Tav.
  14. Pay whatever it takes to get him to sign a new deal and make him captain! He’s a leader and everything we expect from a Rangers player.
  15. The majority of refs in this league are totally incompetent but I don’t think they’re cheats, however in Beatons case I don’t think it could be much clearer! Just look at his position in the two photos there is no way a professional ref couldn’t see clearly what has happened in both, the only explanation for his decisions (and not just the two pictured there’s plent of others) is he’s a cheat and the club should be doing everything they can to make sure the cunt never refs us again. Sadly our board are to busy building bridges to actually stand up and defend the club from the corrupt bastards that tried (and still are to this day) to destroy our football club.
  16. Spot on, give him what he wants to tie him down because if he goes, there’s no way we’ll be able to afford a replacement of the same quality.
  17. Was being sarcastic mate. Have always rated him and he was immense tonight and against the tarriers!
  18. Get him a new contract ASAP. By far the best full back in the league both attacking and defending. Really hope he’s here for 55!
  19. They got lucky so far, giving the job to Murty was nothing to do with them knowing anything about him as a manager and everything to do with him being the cheapest option.
  20. You can bet your life they will try...
  21. Exactly my thoughts, it's can't be a coincidence that not one manager has given him a run of games. Wish him luck but he's clearly not Rangers standard.
  22. Also what happens if for example a team is attacking and a player from the defending team makes a tackle in the box gets the ball and begins a counter attack. The ref thinks it could have been a foul and calls for VAR and the video ref decides it was a fair tackle. Where does the game re start from? Does the counter attacking team lose the chance to break when they've done nothing wrong?
  23. If it's here to stay, and sadly I think it probably is, then I completely agree.
  24. Thought it took closer to two minutes but I could be wrong on that, however even if it's one minute for something as clear cut as that how long will it take for a dubious penalty decision or a red card? I don't think it adds any excitement at all last night the celebrations seemed very muted after it.
