Get Peter Lovenkrands away to fuck!

He's been awful for the last three years, and has lost his biggest asset - his pace.

Is this what it has come to; suggesting ex players who can't find themselves a club:(

The lack of ambition at this club is embarrassing.

bit torn on this one as i dont think he was that great last time round and players returning to former clubs rarely works out. He was on £30k a week at shalke as well. We could do a lot worse though, hes experience in the spl, scored plenty against the tims and scored important goals in europe. Pay as you play deal maybe but i wouldnt be handing a big lucrative contract

This is quite old but, interesting the agent says one thing and peter says another

Peter Lovenkrands is training with former club Rangers as he continues his search for a new employer.

The Danish winger is out of contract after his short-term deal with Newcastle expired this summer and has returned to Glasgow to maintain his fitness.

Yet it is unclear if there is a possibility the 29-year-old, who made 182 appearances for Rangers between 2000 and 2006, could make a permanent return to the Scottish giants.

"I really don't wish to comment on that," his agent, Ivan Marko Benes, told the Danish website Onside.dk.

"He is training with Glasgow Rangers - not with the team but by himself. He is using their facilities.

"I believe that we will find something for him before the transfer window shuts.

Positive

"Peter is positive, and it is still England that is his first priority."

Benes refused to confirm any possible offers and although Lovenkrands would consider a return to the domestic league, the Denmark international would prefer to find another English Premier League club.

"The SAS league is an interesting league, and if there are any interested clubs, I would love to listen to what they would have to offer," Lovenkrands told Spn.dk.

"The UK is still my first priority, but I don't want to rule out anything at this moment."

International aim

Lovenkrands is hoping to secure a new deal soon to boost his chances of returning to the international fold for the climax of Denmark's World Cup qualifying campaign.

"It's frustrating for me as I haven't been in the national squad for a long time," he added.

"When I performed well at Newcastle, I wasn't selected. It's still my dream, but it's (coach) Morten Olsen who has the final word."

the fact his agent says england and peter says UK would obviously mean he would still want to play for us

I dont know if id take him back, if he has lost his pace, I dont think he would be as much use, his pace was his best asset and I really think we need a fast composed striker as we have two who lack a bit of composure infront of goal (novo and miller)

lovenkrands only turned it on when he wanted a new contract and even then it was only for short bursts of good form. to injury prone aswell. he did have some glory games, celtic cup final and inter milan game are the only ones i remember. smith should stay clear of signing him!
