Boab 73
FRENCH winger Jerome Rothen has expressed his delight at putting pen-to-paper on a one-year loan deal with Rangers. The 31- year-old knocked back interest from Schalke and Blackburn Rovers to move to Ibrox and feels it is one of the biggest challenges of his career. The French international has never played for a club outwith France but felt the time was right to test himself in a different league. He said: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining Rangers, a massive club with a great history. "Today has been a very busy day but I have been very impressed with everything and now look forward to a new chapter in my life. "I did have other offers from Schalke and Blackburn but I just felt that Rangers offered something different. "Playing in the Champions League is, of course, great for the club but there is also a big chance to win trophies in Scotland. "This is important for any footballer. "I spoke to Dado Prso and Jeremy Clement, two of my former teammates at Monaco and PSG, and they had great things to say about Rangers. "They said the fans, the stadium and the training ground are very special and that made my decision to leave Paris a bit easier. "I am now looking forward to meeting all my new teammates soon and making my debut for Rangers." http://www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/He...1784712,00.html
