Also, two players are missing out, Edu and Thomson, that is £4.5m worth of players who can't get in the team because the manager went out and bought far too many central midfielders, along with Lafferty at £3.7m, and Whittaker at £2m - £10.2m worth of players who would not be getting a game.

The team we had in December before the injuries, but switching Mendes for Thompson/ McCulloch.

Wilson is not far off Weir but at least for the rest of the season I reckon Weir is the better shout as he's tried and tested, and we need that consistency in the run in. Wilson should be first choice next season.

Thompson or Big Lee (on present form) is no far off Mendes's spot, but if we get Mendes playing he's the better choice for now, as I can see him creating alot more with two extra attacking options in Novo and Beasley along with the tried and tested strike partnership.
