papaguy51 912
First off, I don't think either one is a bona fide legend. However, it's a word often used on here when describing them. So, I put it to you lot - who could be described as the 'most legendary' of the pair?
WeeBlue 39
Barry for me, more consistant.. Used to totally control games from midfield (first spell).
TheNuts 552
never really liked barry .

GOAT 30,449
See to be honest, I think it's a bit of a daft thread. Ferguson grabbed us by the scruff of the neck on numerous occasions and won us trophies and leagues. To compare him to Boyd is a bit daft. Barry Ferguson is a Rangers legend. gbm1989 41
fergie was a great player for rangers over the years but imo boyd is some way off being a gers legend
Bazza 21
Barry by far at this moment in time.Boyd has the potential to go on and become a legend, lets hope he stays and gives it a go.
MasterD 7,446
Barry is imo
Jimfanciesthedude 25,041
none of them areferguson left us the first time because it suited himself, and came back because it suited himselfboyd for being the goalscorer he is, still hasnt done enough to be a legend either
Amac9 2,060
Barry Ferguson.
Edin-Bear-ugh 1
Ferguson by a fucking mile. Some of his performances were unreal. Free kick in lovenkrands final. on his day could have walked into any team in the world
GeneralCartmanLee 313
Strange question but barry ferguson for me.....boyd signs a 3/4 year contract and keeps up the scoring then the answer may change
bluenose andy 1
Ferguson so far but boyd can become 1 just get the contract signed kris
dummiesoot 16,121
Didn't vote Papa, neither are legends, both have provided Rangers fans with good memories, but don;t have the status of a Cooper, Greig, Gough, etc. Boyd would need to be around for a few more years and a few more goals. Fergie has had his detractors over the years. When he first burst onto the scene, he was brilliant, but lost his way at times unfortunately.
papaguy51 912
It is a weird thread, given that the O(me) doesn't think either are legendary. But I've seen them both described as that on here, so I thought I'd pose it.
DundeeGer87 0
Neither. One walked away from us in his prime and the other is about to walk away from us in his prime.Ferguson produced more 'legendary' performances though.
miracle 7,840
Ferguson for me. In the day he was simply unreal. His second spell was a disappointment but a lot of that has to go down to playing through the pain barrier, injections, what have you. Then again he left Rangers, and whats more made it publicly known he wanted to leave... is that the stuff of legend?
Radioactiveman 25
The word legend is used by some people because they are either ill-educated or just too lazy to think up another word to describe someone. Phrases like 'Papac is a pyoor legend!' -- WTF?In a way I feel sorry for some of our supporters who are too young to remember the likes of Cooper, Goughie, Coisty and the Goalie in their prime. Have more deserving got that title thta have gone befoere him, of course, in his era though he is indeed a legend.
