5cotland 71 Posted January 17, 2011 Share Posted January 17, 2011 On ssn now!Stv report:Dundee United footballer David Goodwillie has been charged with rape.The incident is alleged to have happened in the early hours of January 2 this year when a 24-year-old woman said she was sexually attacked in Armadale, West Lothian.The 21-year-old footballer has been released on bail and is due to appear in court at a later date.A spokeswoman for Lothian and Borders Police said: “A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with an alleged serious sexual assault on a 24-year-old woman in Armadale on the 2nd of January.“The individual concerned has been released to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court at a later date.“Inquiries into the incident are ongoing, and no further comment can be made at this time.”Dundee United refused to comment.
