Would be a decent signing, i'd expect 2-3 million but yet again as you mentioned wages could be a problem. Depends on how well we sell the club, some players come to Ibrox and fall in love insantly whereas others like Eagles and Commons have nothing but money on their mind.

Bit unfair on Eagles. He signed a contract with Burnley which was apparently worth less than what we offered him. Maybe just didn't like it up here.

Excellent player, liked him since his Villa days but really became a player at Brum. If he leaves them id expect he will have his pick from a few teams in the PL and the transfer fee will be upwards of £4m. Love it if we could get him though (tu)

What about them? What hes on?

Gardner earns £21,000-a-week at Villa Park plus an extra £2,000 per appearance.

Thats before he moved to Birmingham so they are probably around 30k.

He is easily one of there best players and would not be cheap.

From personal knoweledge Craig wouldnt leave Blue's if he was offered silly money from United.

He is a Blue nose ( English sense of the word) and wants to help Birmingham as much as possible, they may have rivals in Villa but it aint as frowned against as much if they sign a player from their locals as they were to be if it was Rangers and Celtic signing each others players.

Craig, Ridge and Curtis Davies all played for Villa before signing for Brum so it is not at all a problem.

From what I know, Gards is very much a one dimensional player, in other words he only knows one role and that is, Right Centre Midfield, albeit a cracking player who is box to box and can hit a ball form 30+ yards.

One I would very much like to see at Ibrox but we do not have the pulling power that the Prem has, so I would see him either at Brum next season in an attempt to get them straight back up, or a mid table Prem club at best.

How long did it take you to google that? :) Do you not have a better source than a rhag?

I agree 100% with your last line.

I think he would cost a lot more that 2-3 million, more like 5 or 6 mil. we have no chance of getting him
