DARK DUNE (Wolverhampton 8.20) was one of the most impressive winners of a mid-grade handicap seen last winter when winning a Wolverhampton 1m4f event last November, in control from some way out, having shaped with immense promise on his Polytrack debut on his previous start, and he looks worth an interest now he returns to the surface. He had only one subsequent Polytrack outing after those first two efforts, when he was too keen off a steady pace, and he has shown himself capable of being competitive off his current rating on turf, twice runner-up off today’s mark of 78; given that he seemed to improve significantly when switched to Polytrack last winter, the fact that he’s been running to a higher level on turf than was the case at this time last year gives hope that he will progress further now he’s back on Polytrack. One that might be worth a saver at bigger odds is Pass Muster; he habitually travels strongly on turf and the progeny of his sire Theatrical have a very good record on this surface (20% strike rate and a level stakes profit of over 60 points).

Had £20 on Russia U21's to beat the Czechs @5/6, 2-2 it ended with the Czechs getting 2 guys sent off. GUTTER!!

I now put £20 on the Germany U21 to beat Switzerland @ 10/11

Hopefully that comes in and i will put that on few games tonight.

SUTTON VENY is on a long losing run, but she ran really well when runner-up last time and can go one better over the same course and distance in the 6f handicap at Wolverhampton today (7.20). Her last four wins have all come on Polytrack (has run well at all three venues even though her wins have come at Kempton), and she did really well against a pace bias last time, chasing a strong gallop and leading a furlong out, run down only by a well-handicapped one that had been ridden more conservatively in the early stages. That run suggested she is in top form and she’s very fairly handicapped, and with her stable giving signs of being back in form after a lean spell, she should go close off the same mark as last time with Spencer again on board.
