albertz loyal 6
Thought he looked really good in a deep lying role could this be the"position"that we have been looking for him.reminded me of a young Barry ferguson.part ov a midfield 3 with Davis and edu/jig? Jimfanciesthedude 24,925
i remember we had a young left footed player who didnt look the best when played out wide, didnt look the fittest either and some would say he thought he was better than he was and let it all go to his headim not exactly sure but i think we whored him everywhere and eventually managed to sell him for 500k, and he is now a multi million pound player
MisterC 12,406
He showed some good touches tonight. That is his best position after all, could do worse than give this a go.
alfajerk 23
the wee man can play anywhere , he's got the good stuff
deleteduser1 169
Thought he did well in the engine room tonight but I'm not convinced he has what it takes to become a top player at The Rangers in any position. However I hope he proves me wrong. ogbg 20
Up until now I've always thought he played best in an advanved midfield role. Never thought of playing him behind the midfield. With his lack of pace it's actually perfect for him, but he'll have to work on defensive aspects of his game if he's to play there regularly. Ben10 2,294
When would he get the chance to shine there though ? The Chelsea game maybe ? Maybe the second leg vs Malmo if we have a comfortable lead ? Might be getting ahead of myself but. Hope Ally does think the same of Fleck in this position to maybe give it a try. I can remember Naismith getting a game in centre-mid and came to life, he's never looked back.

JM1872 3,772
The management team rate him and believe they can get the best out of him. I sincerely hope so. Would love to see wee John shine along with Ness and the likes.
Amac9 2,060
I mentioned this in the match thread. He will never be a LW and we don't play in a way that requires a number 10. I think he could be a decent CM player.
Stu1993 101
Always thought his best position was in the centre of the park, either CM or CAM.Like JBJ he is not and never will be a LM.

Leeds_Bear 8,145
Him Davis and jig as a three man midfield. With a three man interchangeable attack...or am I asking way to much?

It's clear he has talent but his attitude is his downfall thus far.

ogbg 20
Fleck in 'doing well in natural position' shocker!I've never heard anyone say his natural position was as a deep-lying midfielder, which was where he seemed to be playing tonight.
Nicolas Cage 31
He can keep the ball pretty well but he lacks the dynamism I'd want from a central midfielder.
albertz loyal 6
Him Davis and jig as a three man midfield. With a three man interchangeable attack...or am I asking way to much?Hope not sounds ideal to me mate.naismith jela and a quality left sided attacker .that formation can easily change to a 4 5 1 for European games if thats the way super wants to go
ElwoodBlues 41
aye thats his position, might get a chance under ally as walter done the same with adam and stuck them out on the left as they were left footed
King Jela 20,658
Thought his position was either up-front or as a second striker ? Now its deep-lying midfielder
trueblueal 2,117
In my opinion he is best suited in a Paul scholes type role, breaking forward from midfield and using his vision. Think that's where he'll end up playing.
