David Templeton was born in Glasgow on 7 January 1989. His father, ex-professional footballer Henry Templeton, who at the time of David's birth was playing for ex-Scotland manager, Ally MacLeod, at Ayr United. Henry's hero was Rangers and Scotland winger Davie Cooper and named his son after his hero. Henry was a small, skilful, tricky attacking player and this seems to have been passed on to David.

In an interview with The Scotsman, Templeton said of his childhood, "My dad left and I went to my mum's side who were all C*ltic fans so I ended up following them. I grew up as a C*ltic fan but I loved watching Brian Laudrup because of the way he played."

He would defo come to us imo, follow in the foosteps of his hero.

Only problem is, I can see this article being a whole load of made up shite.

Why is this a hertz love-in ? You think they feel the same way about us ? Fuck everyone else. They'd as much love us to die so I'm not for giving a fuck. But get that templeton.

Why would any Scottish football fan in his right mind want Hearts to die, or not give a fuck if they did?

Baffling.

I'm not a scottish football fan I'm a rangers fan. And I couldn't give a fuck if they did because I have no emotional attachment to the club.

Why would I really ? Saying I don't care if they die is being kind to them infact.

You're clever...maybe one day all the clubs will die, and we can play against Rangers reserves every week.

See I've hit a soft spot, I should really try harder in future not to upset your wee jam tart heart

(P.S fuck the jambos!!)

This is not about soft jam tart hearts... This is about having a better and more competitive league. The league would weaken substantially if Hearts were to go under.

Remember. Better league, more interest and more money.
