Leeds_Bear 8,292
If they are good enough i dont care where they come from. I like the idea of us branching out though, its long over due but India may not be the right country. A recent international match was watched by 2500 fans, yes, two thousand five hundred.Considering there are over 1billion people in India, that number is shocking. Must have been a bit painful for him either way Yeah some site wrongly claimed he played for us but if you have a wee google search there's far more evidence he played for them, only in a few reserve games mind. derek1872 548
Both have good records, I don't know how bad the Indian league is though. Lalpekhlua impresses me a bit more due to the fact he's only 20 I wouldnt rank it up there with the best leagues in the world. This doesnt mean they are bad players though. I do feel though they wont be good enough.

SirWalterSmithLegend 206
Considering there are over 1billion people in India, that number is shocking.Just shows how unpopular soccer is over there. Who knows, there is most likely more Indian interest on these shores tbh.

FirrhillLoyal 318
Hopefully see them against hamburg India international Sunil Chhetri will get yet another chance to seal a move to Europe and this time, the stakes are higher. Chhetri and his national team strike partner Jeje Lalpekhlua reached Glasgow for a trial with Scottish champions Rangers, and if things go as per plan, they will feature in a friendly for the club against Hamburg on Tuesday. It is learnt that the club is planning to use the match as a part of their trials to see if the duo can fit into their style of play and of course, if they can match the standard. The tie will be played in Hamburg and a source scouts from Portuguese clubs Sporting Lisbon and Benfica will be monitoring the two players.A Rangers spokesperson told DNA the decision on the duo’s inclusion for the friendly has not been taken yet. However, he added, “Chhetri and Jeje will train with the first team under manager Ally McCoist at the club’s training complex, Murray Park. They will also attend Sunday’s game against Kilmarnock.”The biggest challenge for the two Indian strikers, who have been in prime form for the country as well as their clubs, will be to cope up with the conditions in Glasgow, with the maximum temperature expected to be around 8 degree Celsius. Chhetri had brief chat with former Rangers striker Alan Gow, who now plays for East Bengal, before leaving. Jeje, too, was quick to acknowledge the challenge that lies ahead of him.“The conditions in Scotland are very different from what we are used to in India. I think that could be a major hurdle for both of us. I won’t have much time to prove myself so I will have to get used to the conditions quickly and not allow it to ruin my chances,” Jeje said.http://www.dnaindia.com/sport/report_sunil-chhetri-jeje-lalpekhlua-may-play-against-hamburg_1617452
