jdocherty72 215
Heart says No, Head says Possibly. He rejected a contract from his "Boyhood Heroes" for the money, although we could do with someone like him right now.
TerryHurlock 21
Hated him for leaving the way he did and still kinda do but would happily have him back, we need goals and he scores them ! win win in my eyes.
Magic Bougherra 4
On a free transfer, Yes. He will no doubt end up at some shite like Doncaster or Barnsley
Papa Sasac 164
Definitely. Don't think he will come back though, can see him going back to England. Forest or a club like that.
Kerkar 0
Would definitely take him back.We need a better option off the bench than Healy and he's a proven goalscorer here.He will probably go back to the championship though.
Sander2006 50
Definite yes from me and that has always been the case. We should have made more of an effort to keep him in the first place!
krissg910 110
naw not for me, he made his bed he can lie in it.only take him if he accepts about 8-10k a week
AlCapone 7,678
Huh?Aluko was without a contract, he signed on here for the rest of the season, with no gaurentees of a future deal and no security if gets a long term injury. How is it any different? Boyd tore up a deal worth £55k a week for another 3 years..... do you think he is really going to do that to take up a six month deal somewhere else on less wages?I will be astounded if his agent doesnt already have a two to three year deal agreed somewhere else before he ripped up the contract.Aluko was out of contract, Boyd wasnt. King Jela 21,689
Why would a Championship club take him, and who would it be ?
BILLYBOY50 1,638
yes come home kris everyone deserves a second chance.
AlCapone 7,678
Yes on the basis that he gets a 6 month contract under £10K a week, if he proves himself, scores the goals and helps us get 4IAR then yes extend it. But I feel bringing him back won't change a thing, we need the players that will give service to the attackers not the guys who can finish the chances the aren't being created.Still can't quite forgive him though, he's not been a consistant goal scorer since he left us so it'd take him months to get back into it as well imo. Again, why would someone on a 3 year deal woth 55k a week rip that up to go on a 6 month deal worth 10 k a week....and run the risk of picking up a career ending injury with only 6 months pay as security
Creampuff 22,630
Again, why would someone on a 3 year deal woth 55k a week rip that up to go on a 6 month deal worth 10 k a week....and run the risk of picking up a career ending injury with only 6 months pay as securityBecause he wasn't getting paid.At all. WhosTheDado 32
Definite yes from me and that has always been the case. We should have made more of an effort to keep him in the first place! We did make a big effort to keep him. We offered him a contract that would have made him one of our top earners. gogzy 31,195
Boyd tore up a deal worth £55k a week for another 3 years..... do you think he is really going to do that to take up a six month deal somewhere else on less wages?I will be astounded if his agent doesnt already have a two to three year deal agreed somewhere else before he ripped up the contract.Aluko was out of contract, Boyd wasnt.ahhh boyd tore up his contract. I see your point but...he is still out of contract righ now yes?So if right now he has no contract, then i ask again...how is it any different?I see your point i just disagree with it
new eagle 10
Thought I would get the ball rolling and see what everyone thinks a simple yes or no would be good!Yes for me!You heard something as well? Heard he's on his way back shortly!
Sander2006 50
We did make a big effort to keep him. We offered him a contract that would have made him one of our top earners. If we had offered that contract 12 months sooner and not tried to punt him in the previous transfer windows then I would agree. Spectre 1,663
I wouldn't mind getting Boyd back, he's a goal threat and I would rather have him in the starting lineup than Healy or Lafferty. I feel as if it's almsot inevitable he will return to us.
King Jela 21,689
Its all fair enough saying bring him back on a short term deal at 8-10k a week, but you really need to look at it from his viewpoint, how in the world would he be able to feed his kids on that amount a week ? Fuck, you all must think he's a slave or something. Poor guy.
LegendofCoop 18,125
I would go as far as saying we need him as much as we need him.I'd like to counter this by saying, he needs us as much as he needs us!!
