Lafferty getting took off was the best thing that happened yesterday

First of all, get well soon big man. Hopefully we see you back soon.

However, Lafferty getting stretchered off meant we stopped pumping the ball up to no cunt, and played more football than we usually do, and what was the result? The best performance IMO this season.

Hopefully McCoist has learned his lesson.

Could be the catalyst for our manager to see that the we CAN play football? It's a bit like last season when McCulloch and Bartley got crocked. We were forced to ditch the defensive midfielder and go for a positive line-up which produced a great run in and ultimately won us the title. If they were not injured I honestly think Walter would have stuck with them and it would have been 2008 all over again

no injury is good news, however the injury meant fleck came on which has led to us blocking his loan move which can only be good news.

fleck could make a big difference if given a run in the team now.

Yes but only if he is played in that position. He wasted when chunted out left. He clearly has talent but is down on confidence and IMO McCoist must do everything in his power to get the best from him. After all, that's what managers should do

Think McCoist should have emphasised the need to play good football at the beginning of the season and should have addressed the long ball pish after every game we used it. It is obviously going to be tempting for the defenders to punt it when they see 2 tall strikers but they really should have been forced by the management team not to do so. Tbh think its a missed opportunity coz Laff and Jelavic are players that would benefit more from playing football than the big hoof. Just hope when Lafferty comes back we've made playing football a priority and dont just go back to lumping it.

all he meant was there was no option for a long ball.....grasping at straws so as not to give him credit is a strange thing to do....

I think it is harsh to criticise him for the post match comments but he really should be making them play it on the ground to start with. I actually think ally has been happy with the big punt up until now which is a definite concern.

Of course has was happy with it. You dont play a style of football for that long and continue with it unless your happy.

For the second time the team was forced into playing football on the deck and it was great to watch. Lets hope he learns this time because he didn't last time.
