Arsenal are being linked with a shock move for Barcelona defender Dani Alves.

The Daily Express cite reports in Spain when claiming that Gunners chief Arsene Wenger could make a surprise swoop for the Brazilian full-back.

That makes little sense as a Wenger/Arsenal signing. He'll be thirty years old come the summer, and he has been shite for years.

He is at his peak in football terms, he would command the same fee or even more considering he is a better footballer than when he was at United.

Will not happen and certainly not for that price.

It may appear a laughable offer but maybe his age and current contract may explain it.

I'm not saying 28 is mega mega old as he's in his peak years but a player is only worth what a club for pays him I suppose.
