I never knew until yesterday, Rangers nearly won the FA Cup, 1886/87 season semi-finalists.

Does anyone else have some completely useless trivia?

Makes a change from CVA threads :)

Pretty sure it is a Steve Martinnnnn film, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, my name is Ruprttttt purely to keep SVT happy. :sherlock:

Background, I did post on here for a year plus, then I posted a topless Rangers girl when pished, with a bit of minge and was promptly banned, entirely my fault btw.

This thread was just meant to be a bit of fun, combined with stuff I never knew about the team I love.

Ridicule or join in, up to you ....

One of the stars on the Champions League logo represents Rangers.

'The Starball was designed to reflect the eight ‘star’ teams that remained in the two group stages following the initial reformulation of the competition.'

Glasgow Merchants' Charity Cup

In the early years of this tournament, entry appears to have been restricted to four teams. Vale of Leven were invited to participate in the inaugural contest, but declined the invitation. Invitations were made by the Glasgow Charity Cup Committee (GCCC) at their discretion, but no criteria were ever published. [source: Wray Vamplew, ‘Remembering Us Year After Year’: The Glasgow Charity Cup, 1876-1966 (University of Stirling, 2008)]. The first season’s contest was a three-cornered affair involving Third Lanark, Queen’s Park, and Rangers.

I'd not heard of the Glasgow Merchants' Charity cup before today.
