Non_Sucumbi 876
Liked Charlie, watched him come through the reserves were he was a stand out, pity it didn't quite work out for him.Didn't work out for him cause he was a fukkin drunk. Loads of ability but loved the bevvy too much. Saw another player having to put him in a taxi one night --- shame really the guy did have ability

ayrshireger 523
who gives a fck, just not good enough.........He was good enough (ability wise), he had plenty of talent, he just lacked the application to get to the top level.

If he had fullfilled his potential none of the traitors who left us in the lurch would've been able to lace his boots.I understand where you are coming from but this was a players/fans night out with very few leeches. The only player OTT was Miller. Even after a few players had mentioned to him to 'slow down'. Got the impression that he just never ever listened. Given his ability that made it pretty sad. Here was a Scottish lad surrounded by foreigners. He had equal ability to most of them but refused to look after himself.
Bobby 41
Charlie Miller was unfortunate (in the footballing sense) that he came in during an era of big players on big wages.I remember the Daily Rhebel did an article on Charlie Miller v Simon Donnelly. Both coming through the ranks and both promising players. The report was Donnelly was on £1k per week and Miller was on £10k per week! Now this was both their starting pay after signing on pro. £0-£10k in the swish of a pen. When you consider its been reported Andy Goram never got more than £1k per week that's some money even for us at that time. £10k, still a teenager and mixing with Gazza etc....was only going one way for a young Scots lad who likes a brew and banter! Coplandbear11 1,087
Wasted what he had. He's a good guy, he's my mates cousin and I've played 7s a few times with him.
Ace 3,556
Miller went to Grange, it didn't become Castlemilk high until 1990.I remember watching him regularly get out out of Honda with crates of beer for him and his mates on a Sunday morning, also used to see him and his hanger on's coming out of the labour club. His was a talent wasted.
