RangersAyeReadyJT 8
An easy wee break away thread from all the dramas ATM. I'm not long back from the Costa Brava, obviously spent a lot of time at the beach and I saw a guy with the old red Rangers top with the white writing and dark blue on the sleeves, mcewans lager was the sponsor at the time I think (can't post a pic, on my phone) and the guy was definitely a local. I was quite chuffed, didn't expect to see it tbh. Anyone had a similar sighting of our glorious jerseys in foreign lands?
Gaz52 11,837
Not abroad but I was in Birmingham a few weeks back and seen a guy walking about with an old Mcewans Lager one on, I thought he would have been Scottish but nope, had that horrible Broooomy Accent! LaudrupNIAR 5
There's a guy who owns a bar in sunny beach in Bulgaria. He's called Evo and has the new top on every year, including this year in June. I've watched rangers games with him in other pubs when he couldn't get a signal in his own boozer. A real bear. His place is always full of rangers fans. LaudrupNIAR 5
Where is this pub in sunny beach? Heading there for the first time in 12 days! It's right on the front. Theres a few pubs in a row on the actual beach side called the caribby, the fat cat and another pub that I can't remember it's name. It's straight across from them. Theres a Chinese above it. It doesn't say Evos on the outside although it used to. You'll see a rangers banner behind the bar as well.

aryizredy 12
Four of us did the old inter rail Grand Tour of Europe thing in 1980.We ended up in Greece but decided at the last minute to head for Stockholm for the Scotland World Cup Qualifier.36 hours non stop we made the game with 20 minutes to go.On the way down to Greece before we thought about Sweden we were in Rome prior to jumpin a ferry from Brindisi. This Young Italian guy had a Rangers top on (Bobby Russell collar type) with a big gold crucifix round his neckAs you can imagine this was quite an unusual sight in those days and it gave us a good laugh.Even more unusual in retrospect is the fact that we cheered Strachan when he scored for Scotland
