BlueSuedeSambas 54,874
I don't think there is any doubt that we are interested in Templeton now. It just comes down to if we can persuade him to make the move.I still think celtic will come in for him, especially if he is available for under a million quid. StuartM6 279
I don't see where he would fit into that celtic team tbh. However now that they have the CL money i can see them trying to sign him just so we dont get him.

It is unclear at this stage if he would be willing to swap the Scottish Premier League with Hearts to play for Rangers in the Third Division of the Scottish Football League. Rangers manager Ally McCoist has long been an admirer of Templeton and believes the player could enhance his squad long-term. With a 12-month transfer embargo about to take effect on September 1, McCoist is keen to assemble an extensive array of players who will serve Rangers for the next year whilst reinforcements are forbidden.Green is expected to continue his discussions with the Hearts hierarchy and has also indicated that Rangers are monitoring Callum Paterson, the 17-year-old who has made a big impact at Tynecastle this year.Ahead of tonight’s Europa League play-off return leg with Liverpool, the Hearts manager John McGlynn admitted that, in general, any serious offer for any of his players would at least be considered by the club’s board.“Possibly we could lose players because that’s the state of affairs in Scotland. If that was the case we’d have to deal with it,” said McGlynn. “If we get young players coming through and they do well, then in the current climate I’d imagine Hearts will have to sell. It might crop up and we have to accept that and deal with it. I’m not convinced on either ins or outs, though.”

Templeton is a great young player but he beats players and doesn nothing afterwards, hopefully we can work a minor mireacle and sign him all the same. Shortbread 28
It's a pity we're so close to the end of the transfer window before moves like this start getting mentioned. Templeton is the kind of young Scottish talent we should be looking at rather than giving trials to any 30 year old who's played a few seasons in Europe. Would love this one to be true and to be completed in time.

I don't know what's going on behind the scenes but making moves and looking to bring in 4-5 players on the last two days of the window seems rushed and unnecssary. There's still time - lets hope Ally and the boys pull something off - there's nothing I love more than seeing Jim Whites mug on transfer deadline day announcing a Rangers transfer

KyleBJK 895
As much as we would all love for this to happen, I can't see this happening. Although he may be on the last year of his contract, 300,000 doesn't look like it will be enough. We had to pay £1.5 million for Wallace in the same situation this time last year.
