Coisty, my new team needs time.

So you missed the point twice then.

I couldn't miss anything you never made any points, like I said you just removed Barca from the post because neither they nor Real's impeccable records suited your agenda, the one that tried to ridicule practise makes perfect. :sherlock:

I don't get this idea of all sitting down and talking about it, was it with tea and fairy cakes?

The talking should be done by Ally he's the manager, he should be kicking some arses

Never heard of Walter, Fergy, Shankly,Cloughy or even Stein sitting the players down and talking about it :disappointment:

Three times now. It wasn't even that subtle.

I'm not surprised in any sense whatsoever.

I watched a documentary many years ago about Ajax and the way they train young players, and instead of loads of sprint traning, jogging and matches like our players seem to get, they got the kids working with the ball, learning all about the art of dribbling and first touches, working on small pitches to get the awareness and close control perfected, and they trained the same way from the kids to the first team. Thats the kind of things we should be doing, having specialised training and getting all the Rangers teams from first team to the youngest youth level playing the same way. It would need new youth and maybe first team coaches, or at least additional help for the guys to implement it.

Always pisses me off that we can't seem to or don't want to teach our young players how to play football.

We seem to coach the skill out off players and it does my fucking head in.

 Fuck sake what the fuck is the point in some people on here. He played for Rangers trained with us everyday if a player is saying our training is not good enough then dd u not start to worry?

He said in Australia it is more tactical than our training.

a player the team deemed not good enough going in a huff.

At auchenhowie it is still the Willie Waddell mantra.

"Rangers like the big strong powerful fellows, with a bit of strength and solidity in the tackle, rather than the frivolous, quick moving stylists like Jimmy Johnstone, small, tiptoe-throughs the tulips type of players who excite people." - Willie Waddell, Rangers manager 1972

A team meeting where everyone has their say, could you imagine a similar meeting under the likes of Jock Wallace happening. C'mon ally toughen up a bit, surely should have been a meeting where he read the players the riot act, meetings like that which ally described are for the captain to organise between the players.

Also totally agree with the comments on training, used to know a lad that played non-league down here and they trained three times a week from 7-10 at night. Allowing our lads train mon-fri if playing two consecutive sat, 10-12 I believe I saw somwone say, that means we are training only one hour more than a non-league outfit over a week which will be wiped out by extra warming up and down. When building a new team is not good enough.

Ally deserves at least a season after what he has done for the club but he needs to start changing things and the longer he leaves it the harder it will be.

just saying what was rumoured. Apparently thats why McCoist wouldn't play him?

To be factual,Bcf......Matty McKay didn't have a dig at our training under McCoist. The truth is that McKay was asked the question if there was any difference from training at Brisbane Roar (under Ange Postecoglou) and the training at a more professional set-up at Rangers, to which his answer was that "It is more technical at the Roar as we did a lot of set piece work, where here at Rangers we play games"

Whether McCoist just didn't fancy McKay as a player or if he had a beef with him because he gave his honest opinion, is debatable.
