GWR1979 1,970
Yes and that was another struggle. The game wasn't pretty but we got the result. Away form has not been great but I have seen enough at home games to still have confidence in turning it around.
Chef 436
Everyone knows our training is shite. There have been threads on it before our players are away by 12o'clock everyday sometimes earlier. How is that "full time"Like the guy who watched from a half mile away and could still hear thr conversations.

Im intrigued as to where you get your info about our training schedules and techniques. Care to share this source ray? It's not a secret our players leave MP at 12 o'clock sometimes earlier. And Matt Mckay has also said the training was shite. Can you not tell the way we start games that our training is not up there with some other teams? We start every game the same way slow and it takes us sometimes until the 2nd half to get warmed up.

elephants stoned 2,994
Training should be longer and they should use a ball alot longer, instead of running round the park a few times, and running in and out of cones.I watched a documentary many years ago about Ajax and the way they train young players, and instead of loads of sprint traning, jogging and matches like our players seem to get, they got the kids working with the ball, learning all about the art of dribbling and first touches, working on small pitches to get the awareness and close control perfected, and they trained the same way from the kids to the first team. Thats the kind of things we should be doing, having specialised training and getting all the Rangers teams from first team to the youngest youth level playing the same way. It would need new youth and maybe first team coaches, or at least additional help for the guys to implement it.
Tiebreak54 151
Working hard behind the scenes. What he not doing?Training still finishes at 12. just like it did in the 1980s.

Putting in 100% all the time?My guess would be just that, a guess, he wasn't playing, maybe wasn't happy.I find it hard to believe so many will just accept his comments and constantly reffer to them at these times like he was summit amazing. It's the problem with British football in general.I remember being 12 playing on a full size pitch with full size goals! The whole game in Britain needs an overhaul. WVB 2,560
This team needs a lot of time as far as I can see.Perry is dreadful, as is Cribari. They seem to make Alexander nervous.Personally speaking, Saturdays result rates up there with the 0-0 draw with Clydebank at Ibrox in 1985, or even the defeat at Kilbowie a few months later.A lad next to me commented that he'd watched a better quality of football at the Paralympics, and it was hard to disagree. I dont think I've seen a worse game of football in my life.Fortunately for McCoist, our home form should be enough to win this division, as all the other teams are inconsistent as fuck. I expect us to win every game at Ibrox, handsomely, and pick up a few wins and more draws on our travels. The home teams will always be pumped up for our visits, so Ally must get the players motivated as if the were paying a cup final themselves, which wont be easy. His managerial skills have to improve over the next 2 seasons, whilst he has players who are superior to the opposition.
