Iron Curtain 60
We will hopefully start spending on the scouting network, might avoid those Gordon Smith style imports that were all over Auchenhowie last year.
geronimoo 1,570
We need to invest in a proper and good scouting system. And the wages cap is something we should be doing.
elephants stoned 2,994
On the flip we will never see a Gazza or Laudrup either.Tbf how long will it be until players of that quality would consider Scotland as a good carear move? I cant see any clubs in Scotland getting near that kind of talent for a long long time, if ever sadly.
scarkev 3,540
Only the media in this country could take this and spin it negatively....football clubs all around the world are losing money and paying players far too much...the bubble will burst eventually!A wage cap for us is sensible...no need to pay anyone in excess of 10k a week, we should be aiming to bring through our own players and sign younger players from the continent with potential and sell on value... trueblue68 2,497
I thought the club might have released a statement on this. I'm probably the only one who is a bit worried that we have not.
Ricky_ 893
Wage caps should be something decided upon by FIFA, not clubs, no FA's, not UEFA, but FIFA.They should also have strict control over ticket price caps & TV pricing.Sports channels cost a sickening amount to subscribe too. Why? Because the Wayne rooneys of this world demand £1m a month to play some fucking football.People have prasied Green for the pricing at Ibrox, but let's be honest, even £17 is a joke. Travelling to the game, getting some grub & maybe a pint or 2 makes for a fuckin pricey matchday experience and it's not like we attend 4 or 5 games per year.Prices need to be braught down universally, in every area of a sport which is grossly overpriced. FIFA and UEFA are corrupt organisations. The mega clubs in Europe would form their own league if too many curbs were introduced. European law would let them as well and everyone in football knows that. We are all too late now.

But, now we look forward to discovering, molding our own Laudrups' and Gazzas'. And watching them flourish til a club will pay those inflated fees takes them away. It is slightly bitter-sweet. But, we adapt and grow, and we will be successful none the less.

trueblueal 2,117
How the hell can we be set to make a £3.5Million loss this year?Probably because the SFA and SPL stole our money, we have fuck all of a TV deal and our season ticket prices were cut by a third. The tide will turn though as we power up the leagues And sign new sponsorship and kit deals and get the share issue under way.
ritchieshearercaldow 22,393
Football is a results based game, therefore footballers should be paid for results. No more of paying big wages for so called big names just turning up and doing Sweet FA

But all of these teams owe the taxman in their own counties. But because of how much money they get through sky etc nothing gets done about them.
