ILoveRangersFC 2
We dominated that game , and should a won but this stupid 1 up front is doing my head , I don't understand why ally can't play 4-2-2 or 4-3-3 , we are miles points clear , and sheils was on the bench add have him on instead of (Hutton or little) and up front with jig ! .... Stop using the 1 up front ally your killing me man. !
legalbeagle 3,734
4-2-2 won't help much
Uncle Fester 186
I hope that's not the selection against Dundee HIVs. Black and Hutton is not happening and costs us creatively.
The Dude 20,026
was shiels fit to start today? He hasn't really convinced me yet since signing that he merits a start every week.

The Artist 143
We should NEVER be playing one up front in the 3rd division ffs!!!
Marco Negri's Beard 1,423
You could play 4 strikers and they wouldn't do to we'll if the deliveries were as poor as they were today. One of them days unfortunately. Thems the brakes (or breaks)
FlippinEck 3,737
We had 2 up front for about 5mins today and it was the best spell of the game. Unfortunately Ally was tactically outclassed today and had a blunder himself with poor subs/position changes...
ILoveRangersFC 2
We should NEVER be playing one up front in the 3rd division ffs!!!Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! , its just fucking annoying specially when jig is up himself yeah he's a brilliant player and that but he's not the fastest either !!!! The Dude 20,026
He gets forward with the ball better and quicker , and am not sure but I would a still played himso you would risk further injury to him when it isn't really necessary because he 'gets forward with the ball better and quicker' than a holding midfielder? Who would you have replaced him with when he ineveitably tired towards the end of the game? McLeod, imo, plays better just off the main striker as his range of passing and movement is much more effective. This wold be negated by Shiels playing CF beside McCulloch. The Dude 20,026
We should NEVER be playing one up front in the 3rd division ffs!!!We play with 4 'attacking' players.. Templeton, McLeod, Little and McCulloch. The two holding midfielders are used to lessen the defensive responsibilities of those players. ForeverBlue_Since91 2,895
Unbelievable how that game ended 1-1. But i knew it was coming when we were missing chance after chance.

jack1690 793
Pretty embarrassing really, given that we were one up then they went down to ten men for most of the match.IMO this has been coming for a while now as, apart from one half v elgin away, its been dire for wks. Worrying with the cup tie looming.

adam2102 582
it is quite confusing. such a prolific front man like ally should know how the tactics up front work like the back of his hand. i guess he is finding it difficult to get it across to the players. SwallowsHisOwnSpunk 7,912
Subs--Sebastian Faure / Chris HegartyIan BlackFraser AirdRobbie Crawford / Kal NaismithLee McCulloch / Andrew LittleThat formation/team is fine the problem isn't one striker it's the fact McCoist feels the need to force senior players into the team ahead of superior youth players and the fact he feels the need to force players out of position. The Dude 20,026
Subs--Sebastian Faure / Chris HegartyIan BlackFraser AirdRobbie Crawford / Kal NaismithLee McCulloch / Andrew LittleI think McLeod is wasted playing there. The game seems to pass him by a bit more as he isn't a particularly defensively minded player. As for Shiels, i said it earlier, I really haven't been convinced by him at all. He does well in flashes and then vanishes.
