There are plenty of Celtic fans, and I presume Barcelona fans, moaning about their players not giving 100% for their League games. They lost 2 games in a row before the Aberdeen match. They are stumbling towards the title even though they have no challengers. We're in the same situation.

How may managers have had to work in the restrictive environment that McCoist has been placed in for the last year? None.

How many managers have been given the second highest wage bill in the leagues and failed to win a single cup competition?

How many managers who are in the bottom tier have international, European and cup winners in there ranks yet still get out played and out fought by part time teams?

18 months we have had of Ally McCoists Rangers and ON the pitch it's been horrible to watch.

The answer to this of course is chuck more money at him and hope it gets better, never mind building something at the club...just buy our way back to the top and pray the other lot don't make Europe again

Out played and out fought despite building a more than healthy lead at the top? This after a Summer where we were wounded off the pitch and our squad was decimated. Try and introduce some shades of grey into your arguments, please.

You do it.

You're whiter than white. Seen this pitiful response from you nearly every day the past two weeks.

Why are we failing to dominate games against weaker opposition? Let's keep it simple.

We had a squad of

International - Wallace, Shiels, Little

SPL players - Hutton, Shiels (LC winner), Templeton, Sandaza, Kyle, Alexander, Perry

European players - Cribari (seria A), Argyriou (Greece)

Now players like Templeton, Hutton, Wallace, Alexander, Black, Perry, Jig all have CL or EL experience as well as SPL at the top level.

Decimated squad for the 3rd fucking division? right ye are.

It doesn't matter though because despite playing teams who train twice a week if they are lucky we just have to forget these performances because unless its next season you can't fairly judge our manager who by them will be in his 3rd season of management.

Never mind the fact we are playing as poorly as we did on the opening day of the season.

Blind faith loyal!

With the benefit of hindsight, yes absolutely. I think you are diminishing the madness surrounding the club last Summer though and the extraordinary circumstances McCoist found himself in.

Would you agree that the atmosphere was hardly conducive to long term planning?

If anything I thought it was ideally suited to long term planning....we were effectively left with no team, in the bottom league and with new owners but our finances were solid and the fans were giving their full support...ally had a blank canvass to work from....at this point we should have put in place a 5 year plan to get back to the top....develop and try out a progressive style of play and focus on youth recruitment...encourage young/new fans to come along and start building up a scouting network....instead we went down the route of signing SPL players on big wages for the purpose of "challenging for the cups and putting the best team possible on the park for the fans".....

Now this may have been a sound bite from ally but if it was then where is the plan? If the object was to just get out this league then why not sign the best SFL players on a fraction of the wage? He is now suggesting we are going to replace the squad which I just can't understand.....

Had we went down this route we may have struggled early on and dropped a few more points along the way but long term we would have been in a much stronger position as there would have been constant progression....instead we will have stunted the development of many youngsters and we will need to spend millions to build a better quality squad in each division!

No need to panic, this magical pre-season will solve everything.

We lost a Hell of a lot of players from the squad. Even in the Brechin game we lost Goian, Boca and Broadfoot. Little had only just resigned and Black was brought in the day before.

We had a number of youngsters who were making their debut. That's hardly a rock solid squad capable of getting off to a flying start is it? Yet we rallied and went on a run which effectively won us the League by January. Let's take the Summer to assess the squad and tinker with it if need be.

His style was very successful and spot-on for the 'winning is everything' environment we were in. If Ally is going to ape anyone (I don't buy that for a minute, mind you) then Walter should be the one.

In the SPL and against Celtic then yes I agree..win at all costs is the way to go but no where we are now! This is out first chance for a rangers manager to plan long term and we are missing it!

Stupid statement made by utter morons.

'Never mind the fact we are playing as poorly as we did on the opening day of the season.'

Aye, lets forget the fact we cut a swathe through everyone over Winter.

He may have had a blank canvass but he had no time to think about the best way to fill it. We only got a license to play a few days before the Brechin game.

I pointed out the good spell if you actually read the posts for goodness sake.

The fact is we have been bad more than good in the bottom tier with a squad of players who are heads and shoulders above our opponents.

Just because you don't like what you read doesn't make it any less true, you keep wishing and hoping things will change by all means but thankfully we have a man in charge who isn't a fantasist and acts when his investment is not paying off.

Yeah you pointed it out (eventually) then completely disregarded it 2 seconds later.

Those convinced against their will, hold the same opinion still.

Whether or not Green is a fantasist or not is debatable. We'll be playing in England in 5 years, don't you know.
