It would be quite good if the OP could warn and bar someone from posting on their thread if they have been given ample chance to change their behaviour.Some folk could deliberately post insults to have a thread they do not like closed down. Posters who deliberately post insults to have threads locked will very quickly be banned, so that problem will go away. Others will see that we are serious and rethink their actions.We have tried deleting offending posts, temp banning repeat offenders, etc but these are all sticking plasters which do not solve the problem. The same could be said of banning posters from threads, they can (as govanblue says above) just move to another thread and ruin that as well. If some posters are unable to abide by these rules, the forum will be better off without them.
