simon 1,758
I was never in favour of signing him, didn't like him as a player and he came across like a wee ned. Not to mention the Jelavić tackle. However, today was the first real chance I've had to watch him at a live game and I have to say I was really impressed. I thought he put a hell of a shift in. When he loses the ball he chases it down until he gets possession back. Some excellent passes as well. Happy to be proved wrong.

bluedart1952 1,374
Like a few others watching Black last year I wanted him chased out of Ibrox as he was shite, but the way he is performing at the moment he is starting to make me change my mind, I just hope he keeps it up and proves me and other doubters wrong. Travelrug 268
He may have a reputation for fouling/nasty tackles etc but I reckon he must be the most fouled player in our team. Even today he took a few dillions off the East Fife players.
elephants stoned 2,994
Blacks coming good the last few games and he looks like he cares now as long as he can put this betting stuff behind him he can go on to be a lynchpin of our midfield over the next few years. LucyBlue 2,278
The same could be said about a few of them last season. But they weren't all internationals. He was very poor. That's not to say I've written him off but he owes us a good season. Is it wrong to expect him to be as good as Wallace? RockwellGers 14,790
We all knew there's a good player in there amongst the fuddery, good to see the black man play his game as he should. Although it could be that he's scared shitless of Arnie Terminator Peralta nicking his spot
Alec87 331
Sorry can't get over the fact he bet us to draw last season. Wouldn't have as first pick now we have a full squad to choose from
AlBear. 8,499
The amount of threads made about him on here show the expectations we all have for him as a Rangers player. So far this season he is rising to those expectations.
RockwellGers 14,790
The Ian Black threads of this season are completely different to the Ian Black threads of yesteryear...... No longer do you read the thread title and picture the disgust the OP had on his face as typed the name
UKIP BEAR 370
Funny how his best performances happen just when there's a chance he may be chased out of town.Coincidence? Don't think so!

CalvinC 1,414
Whose gonna "chase him out of town"?I was ready for chasing him about after his antics at tannadump. But I calmed down.
UKIP BEAR 370
Whose gonna "chase him out of town"?Think if he was found guilty of betting against us then he would be chased by the club who would come under pressure from the fans. But good performances will get alot of fans onside because some fans are fickle.Take sandaza as an example,do you really think he'd have been booted out if he was banging in goals for us? If it transpires that he's guilty of betting against us, he's fucked. Simple as that. I also agree with the Sandaza thing, if he was banging goals in left right and centre he wouldn't have been sacked.
