The Arsenal - Top Of The Table At New Year

Just spent 42 million on a player. Just go look at the facts finance wise regarding Arsenal. Arsenal will soon have 300 million revenue, up there with Bayern Munich. And the Tottenham squad is not stronger than Arsenals and Arsenal first team is one of the best in the league, and certainly Arsenals best side since 2007-2008.

The Arsenal first team is not better than United, Chelsea, Spurs or City's.

Behave.

Yeah the money they have had sitting for years after selling Nasri, Song, Fabregas, Clichy ect.

Because they sign 1 player they are now one of the best

Aye nae bother.

Wait until February/March when suspensions kick in then judge the squads, as I said it's debatable who has a better starting 11.

Arsenal is already missing players, Flamini is now out, Walcott is injured still and Podolski is now only back training. People said the same thing last season about Tottenham when Arsenal actually didn't play well at all until after the Bayern Munich tie.

Tottenham currently have Chadli and Lamela fit, Lamela cost 30 million and has done nothing. Soldado has only got one goal which wasn't a penalty. They are lightweight as an attacking force and the Arsenal midfield is miles better.

Ok.

Spurs have a stronger squad, end of.

Bye.

It's October you idiot.

Who have they played thus far?

Come back when it's been City, United, Chelsea, Liverpool ect.

You lack the argument, so you resort to insults. Its not Arsenals fault they haven't played City or Liverpool yet. Liverpool is the next game. But the season is based over 38 games and not just 4 or 5 games.

Then why were you giving it the top of the league GIRUY as if being there in October is some sort of achievement an hour ago?

There's nothing to debate, Spurs have a stronger squad, only a clown would say otherwise.

I don't think you understand the meaning of the word squad.

The only area where they are comparable is the depth they have for the the "three" behind the striker IMO.

Spurs have Dawson, Chirches, Vertonghan & Kaboul at the back Arsenal have Mertesacker, Kosielny & Vermalean. Spurs have Sandro, Capoue, Dembele, Sandro & Paulinho in midfield, Arsenal have Flamini, Arteta, Ramsey & Wilshere. Spurs have Soldado, Defoe & Adebayor upfront Arsenal have Giroud, Sanogo & Bendtner.

Not much between the midfielders but Arteta is in his 30's now & injury prone, Flamini is injury prone but Spurs have significantly more depth upfront & at the back.

Spurs squad is only theoretically better than Arsenal's based on the reputation of their signings - the majority of which are totally unproven.

You also have to remember that the existing foundation of Spurs' squad is not actually that strong in terms of quality - they were carried by the likes Bale, Modric and VDV for years.

Spurs have increased in depth but lost out in quality IMO.

I would be very shocked if they came above Arsenal - their golden chance to do so has been in the last 2 seasons and they threw it away big time.

Arsenal look much stronger this year, personally I would expect them to widen the gap between them and Spurs if anything.
