So our plans so far are:

£400 - Cash donation to 4 Homes towards Christmas Dinner Celebrations

£160 - Ibrox Day Out for Erskine Bishopton (Sponsors' Fund will also donate £120 for the Megastore Shopping part)

£200 - Cash allocated for Erskine Park's Sporting Memories Room - specific use yet to be decided

We're also looking at getting RangersTV subscriptions for the Homes, but again, like the Megastore Shopping, that benefits Rangers, so the Sponsors' Fund will pick that up. (tu)

Remaining Balance to be spent: £562.33

I forgot to do this

Is it too late?

Sorry - that's my fault. I probably should have highlighted that there was a fundraiser going on. I mean, how were you to know?

Luckily, it's not too late. :D

Just let me know once you've donated, and I'll update the totals.

I don't mind the hassle. bp probably does, but sod him, eh?

I've just added some historic info to the Accounts post above ( http://forum.rangers...entry1062299178 ) just to keep it all together.

This is the bit I've added...

Although I asked for just a couple of quid from each member, it was heartening to see that every member donated a fair bit more than that. (tu)

Since I know that some of you are not as flush at the moment as you'd like, it's appreciated. (tu)

But I also want to give particular thanks and appreciation to the member who donated £100 to the Erskine Lunch Fund - and didn't bother to mention it.

:spraise::21::peanut::cheers::dazed::541::clap:

I won't say who the Bear or Bearette is, but they went from Fund Virgin to Hardcore Loyal in one single step - so the rest of you have got some catching up to do! ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

Update:

I've now posted five cheques to Erskine, each for £100. (tu)

It was only supposed to be four, but that would have meant that every Erskine Home in Scotland would have got a donation, except one - Erskine Edinburgh.

And that would not be right.

Now it's right. (tu)

Erskine will send me some photos of their various Christmas Parties, as well as an update on what they each spent their £100 on. (Erskine Park have already decided - More Booze! )

Oh, and a wee message to all of you who voted for Erskine Park in the Community Fund Awards...

All the residents, families and staff at Erskine Park, want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported Erskine through the Bank of Scotland Community Fund public vote. With your help we secured the highest number of votes in our category and have been awarded the maximum grant available of £3,000! The grant will allow us to create a Sporting Memories Room at the Erskine Park Home and provide a place where residents can participate in sporting reminiscence activities, to encourage social interaction, stimulate memories and have a lot of fun. We couldn’t have done it without you!
