Is Ally fucking blind to the off-field problems we've been having or does that only apply when he's looking for fucking excuses. Let's not mince words here, Ally's wage and the money he's spent has put real pressure on us very early on in the rebuilding process. Not that any actual fucking rebuilding has been taking place as a business or as a team. The fact that Wallace got a150k bonus for practically nothing is also a joke and no doubt it'll be us fans who have to dig deep again when the prices go up next season and the likes of him get their fat, greedy hands on yet another unjustified pay packet. Couldn't Ally have told the board he needed a scout and would forgo a player or two if that's what it took to make it happen? Maybe Ally thinks he doesn't need a scout in which case he's fucking deluded. Advocaat insisted on a youth academy so we've already seen it can be done. Thinking about the future of the club rather than short-term quick and easy success route is the only way we're going to make it. Jeez you just don't see it, tell me what the board knows about building a scouting network?Ally doesn't want a director of football so it's his job to oversee all football aspects of Rangers, first sign of some money coming his way from "the board" and he moans it will be hard to spend on the right player because we only have wee stevie on you tube doing the scouting. The two go hand in hand, spend half on a scouting network and you make the other half go twice as far because you won't be buying dross.Or are you telling me Ally is so dense he needs to be told exactly what to spend his budget on by a board that knows even less about managing a football club than he does. Player recruitment should be a totally different department. Lyon, for example, operate this way and have done for years. Plenty of clubs on the continent do.Just because you know how to coach you don't necessarily know what to sign. We need an integrated system of scouts and data analysts. Time to join the 21st century. The manager should be nowhere near it. Managers are always temporary, they shouldn't be responsible for recruitment of players.
